This project was a challenge but extremely fun and rewarding. I wanted to create a professional book cover and I think I succeeded in this. This was hard as I chose to use major aspects of the story which happened to be the infamous skull with a background of fire and this proved to be a challenge as I didn't want to create something that looked to gruesome. I chose to create a entirely hand rendered design not so dissimilar to a diorama, this was something I had never attempted before and I was excited to try my hand at something new and challenge my known abilities. I wanted to create something with real depth, texture and something that would make you want to pick it up and touch it after all that is the intention when creating a book cover design.
