Philosophy
The Confederacy rejects the Sock Society’s obsession with deconstruction and their disinterest in function. They believe identity is existential, not fluid, literally. A true lint clump may not contain traces of cotton, polyester, and even rogue glitter. To them, this hybridity is sacrilegious.
Their underground broadcasts, known as “Static Whispers,” beam into laundry rooms via rogue frequencies. These messages are poetic, cryptic, and often accusatory:
“You wear your lack of purpose. We wear our past.”
“Folded minds cannot grasp the fuzz.”
Conflict and Coexistence
Relations with Sock Society are tense. The Confederacy has been blamed for clogging vents, sparking fires, and inciting sock rebellions. Yet, some progressive socks have begun secret dialogues with lint diplomats, hoping to build bridges, perhaps even a shared drawer.
