Please note that the writer considered characterizing him as a black, male, Midwestern sounding gentleman, but rejected the passing notion because of the distinct possibility of being seen either as “sucking up to the politically correct police,” or being called a “racist” for accurately making note of a skin color. He is certain that due to these no-win situations his next announcer, if any, will be a white male; if not a non-descript voice over rendered by an Artificial Intelligence machine of uncertain gender, ethnicity, or accent.
