Chapter 53
They soon left the mall, and walking to her car, she took out her phone. “Yeah,” she said. “I just met this guy who wants his teeth filed down. Do you have some time later today?” Without hearing the voice on the other end, the conversation seemed one-sided, but she shortly hung up and, with a smile, informed Caspian of his upcoming appointment.
“Is this afternoon okay?” she asked. Caspian was surprised at how quickly he could be seen, but his anticipation was broken by the sudden realization that neither had introduced themselves. “Uh,” he began. “I think I forgot. My name’s Caspian.”
He reached out to shake her hand and was met with a Victorian and quite feminine handshake.
“What a charming name,” she replied. “I’m Camilla, Empress of the Night.” She seemed to be full of surprises, but there was something he wasn’t seeing, something he wasn’t even looking for that would later throw him into unbelievable shock.
Leaving the mall, they made their way to the parking lot where Camilla’s car sat nearby. Another surprise: it was a black hearse.
“Holy shit,” Caspian said. “How did you get your hands on a hearse?” Camilla opened the driver’s door and slid onto the seat, showing off her long, shapely legs.
“Getting in?” she asked.
Caspian was beyond excited, and opening the passenger door, he climbed into the seat without much in the way of style.
“I dated a guy who worked in a funeral home,” she began. “We had sex on one of their prep tables. It was incredible.” She hesitated as she started the hearse. “Hey,” she said. “You ever have sex in a cemetery? It’s awesome, especially at night under a full moon. Always gets me off.”
For a moment, Caspian wondered if he might be in over his head, but the more of Camilla he saw, the more he wanted her.
“So,” she continued. “Ready to go?” No words were necessary as Caspian simply nodded his head. Backing out of the parking space, Camilla turned to him again with words every man likes to hear.
“Man, am I going to show you a good time.”
He thought he knew what she was talking about—drinking and sex. But that was just a small part of what she had in mind.
