Kieran
Had the gang pursued Kieran, they could have followed occasional blood spots, all the way to where his auntie lived, a mile and a half away. One of those copy-and-paste aunties who doted and fussed over her grandchildren who had never seen her as anything other than a pensioner. The type that you could never imagine as ever having been young, who would perhaps live forever like that, without the need to transfer their soul.
When Kieran had appeared and collapsed in the hallway, it wasn’t long before the police and ambulance turned up, even though he had superficial cuts and would be fine.
He told them everything, and they went to his house to investigate.
However, to them it looked kind of suspicious, almost as if he had killed his parents and ran away, so he was detained in hospital, placed under arrest and taken to the same police station where he had tried to tell them of the children while investigations took place.
He was told at one point that there was a chance he could leave if he was telling the truth about them, but would need to stay around to answer questions.
He had visions of the children attacking, and told him this place may be best for him.
He did not want to leave.
