Book Description

This book is about a life-long search for answers to questions relating to such things as climate change, LSD, and that thing on top of Donald Trump's skull. It roughly follows the chronology of a very imperfect life (mine), but it also discusses timeless concepts related to societal sustainability. On another level, it is a book about books. Books that have influenced my outlook on life, and one book that prompted me to cycle half-way across Canada, in order to try and give a copy to Jean Chretien (Prime Minister at the time). So this book is partly about that trip, partly about a 1970's quest to find a hippie commune in California, partly about a disappointing pilgrimage to India, and partly about the various factors needed to forestall the collapse of civilization.
