(2 Samuel 9: 9-10 -11)

Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house. Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land

for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants. Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.

When you avoid work in Gods kingdom, you are avoiding your promotion.

John 13

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him; Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God; He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself. After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded. Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit:

and ye are clean, but not all

Leadership is rooted in servant hood, if you don"t serve you won"t lead.

Leadership is rooted in stewardship.

Factors that can make you a good leader.

1. You must be focused.

Matt 6: 22

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

1 Cor. 2: 9

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

2. You must be a reader.

Daniel 9: 12

And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem

If you don"t read you cannot lead.

Your head is for you to be ahead. (David Ibiyeomie) 3. You must have compassion and love for people

Until you love people you cannot lead people.

Matthew 15: 32

Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

Matthew 3: 7

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Never emphasis on peoples weakness work on their strengths.

4. Wisdom is the key to reign

5. You must be relevant and useful where you are found.

Daniel 2

And in the second year of

the reign of Nebuchadnezzar

Nebuchadnezzar dreamed

dreams, wherewith his spirit

was troubled, and his sleep

brake from him.

2:2 Then the king commanded to call the magicians, and the astrologers, and

the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, for

to show the king his dreams. So they

came and stood before the king.

2:3 And the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was

troubled to know the dream.

2:4 Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriack, O king, live for ever: tell thy

servants the dream, and we will show

the interpretation.

2:5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, The thing is gone from

me: if ye will not make known unto me

the dream, with the interpretation

thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and

your houses shall be made a dunghill.

2:6 But if ye show the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive

of me gifts and rewards and great

honour: therefore show me the dream,

and the interpretation thereof.

2:7 They answered again and said, Let the king tell his servants the dream,

and we will show the interpretation of

it.

2:8 The king answered and said, I know of certainty that ye would gain the time,

because ye see the thing is gone from

me.

2:9 But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for

you: for ye have prepared lying and

corrupt words to speak before me, till

the time be changed: therefore tell me

the dream, and I shall know that ye

can show me the interpretation

thereof.

2:10 The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, There is not a man

upon the earth that can show the

king's matter: therefore there is no

king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such

things at any magician, or astrologer,

or Chaldean.

2:11 And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that

can show it before the king, except the

gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh.

2:12 For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to

destroy all the wise men of Babylon.

2:13 And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they

sought Daniel and his fellows to be

slain.

2:14 Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of

the king's guard, which was gone forth

to slay the wise men of Babylon:

2:15 He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, Why is the decree so

hasty from the king? Then Arioch

made the thing known to Daniel.

2:16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time,

and that he would show the king the

interpretation.

2:17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah,

Mishael, and Azariah, his

companions:

2:18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret;

that Daniel and his fellows should not

perish with the rest of the wise men of

Babylon.

2:19 Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel

blessed the God of heaven.

2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for

wisdom and might are his:

2:21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and

setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom

unto the wise, and knowledge to them

that know understanding:

2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the

darkness, and the light dwelleth with

him.

2:23 I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me

wisdom and might, and hast made

known unto me now what we desired

of thee: for thou hast now made

known unto us the king's matter.

2:24 Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to

destroy the wise men of Babylon: he

went and said thus unto him; Destroy

not the wise men of Babylon: bring me

in before the king, and I will show unto

the king the interpretation.

2:25 Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto

him, I have found a man of the

captives of Judah, that will make

known unto the king the interpretation.

2:26 The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, Art

thou able to make known unto me the

dream which I have seen, and the

interpretation thereof?

2:27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which

the king hath demanded cannot the

wise men, the astrologers, the

magicians, the soothsayers, show

unto the king;

2:28 But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets, and maketh known

to the king Nebuchadnezzar what

shall be in the latter days. Thy dream,

and the visions of thy head upon thy

bed, are these;

2:29 As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what

should come to pass hereafter: and he

that revealeth secrets maketh known

to thee what shall come to pass.

2:30 But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I

have more than any living, but for their

sakes that shall make known the

interpretation to the king, and that

thou mightest know the thoughts of

thy heart.

2:31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose

brightness was excellent, stood before

thee; and the form thereof was

terrible.

2:32 This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his

belly and his thighs of brass,

2:33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.

2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the

image upon his feet that were of iron

and clay, and brake them to pieces.

2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to

pieces together, and became like the

chaff of the summer threshing floors;

and the wind carried them away, that

no place was found for them: and the

stone that smote the image became a

great mountain, and filled the whole

earth.

2:36 This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.

2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a

kingdom, power, and strength, and

glory.

2:38 And wheresoever the children of men

dwell, the beasts of the field and the

fowls of the heaven hath he given into

thine hand, and hath made thee ruler

over them all. Thou art this head of

gold.

2:39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another

third kingdom of brass, which shall

bear rule over all the earth.

2:40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron

breaketh in pieces and subdueth all

things: and as iron that breaketh all

these, shall it break in pieces and

bruise.

2:41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of

iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but

there shall be in it of the strength of

the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest

the iron mixed with miry clay.

2:42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the

kingdom shall be partly strong, and

partly broken.

2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle

themselves with the seed of men: but

they shall not cleave one to another,

even as iron is not mixed with clay.

2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom,

which shall never be destroyed: and

the kingdom shall not be left to other

people, but it shall break in pieces and

consume all these kingdoms, and it

shall stand for ever.

2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain

without hands, and that it brake in

pieces the iron, the brass, the clay,

the silver, and the gold; the great God

hath made known to the king what

shall come to pass hereafter: and the

dream is certain, and the

interpretation thereof sure.

2:46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel,

and commanded that they should offer

an oblation and sweet odours unto

him.

2:47 The king answered unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is, that your God is a

God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and

a revealer of secrets, seeing thou

couldest reveal this secret.

2:48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts,

and made him ruler over the whole

province of Babylon, and chief of the

governors over all the wise men of

Babylon.

2:49 Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and

Abednego, over the affairs of the

province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in

the gate of the king.

Dan 4: 7 – 9

Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.

But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying, O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

YOU MUST BE DISCIPLINED.

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

Catalyst for Excellence

Psalms 23:1- 3

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: (Col 1: 13) Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt. (Exodus 3: 10

And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. (Luke 5: 10) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (Matt 5:14- 16) Ways People Define You

1. Nationality

And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans. But Paul said unto them, they have beaten Openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privy? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out. (Acts 16: 21,37) 2. Tribe/ language

Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria?

for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. (John 4:9)

3. Parental background

Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah. (Judges 11:1),

And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

Three (3) To Excel

Wisdom knowledge and skill for excellence.

For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil (Ecclesiastics 2: 21) Wisdom: is the correct application of wisdom and doing things right.

Doing the scriptural principles.

She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her (Proverb 3:15)

He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

(John 3: 31)

This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. (James 3:15)

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

(Psalm 111: 10)

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

(Ecclesiastics 10: 10)

Understanding + insight = skill

Skill sharpens you for success.

Training is an organized activity to build your success.

Knowledge = skills and profit

Knowledge is of the head,

Skill is of the hand.

(Ecc 5:9) Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king himself is served by the field.

1 kings 1:7 And he conferred with Joab the son of Zeruiah, and with Abiathar the priest: and they following Adonijah helped him.

1 kings 7:13, 14 And king Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.

He was a widow's son of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass: and he was filled with wisdom, and understanding, and cunning to work all works in brass. And he came to king Solomon, and wrought all his work.

Proverb 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Dan 1: 17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

1 kings 17:8- 16

And the word

of the LORD

came unto

him, saying,

17:9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

17:10 So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

17:11 And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

17:12 And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two

sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

17:13 And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.

17:14 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

17:15 And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

17:16 And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

2 kings 4: 7-8 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest. And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.

1 Samuel 16: 18 Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD is with him.

Psalm 51

51:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy

lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.

51:2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.

51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.

51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

51:13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

51:14 Deliver me from blood guiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

51:15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall show forth thy praise.

51:16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.

51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

51:18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.

51:19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

Genesis 38: 14- 26

38:14 And she put her widow's garments off from her, and covered her with a veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in an open place, which is by the way to Timnath; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given unto him to wife.

38:15 When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had covered her face.

38:16 And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to, I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in unto me?

38:17 And he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it?

38:18 And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand.

And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.

38:19 And she arose, and went away, and laid by her veil from her, and put on the garments of her widowhood.

38:20 And Judah sent the kid by the hand of his friend the Adullamite, to receive his pledge from the woman's hand: but he found her not.

38:21 Then he asked the men of that place, saying, Where is the harlot, that was openly by the way side? And they said, There was no harlot in this place.

38:24 And it came to pass about three months after, that it was told Judah, saying, Tamar thy daughter in law hath played the harlot; and also, behold, she is with child by whoredom. And Judah said, Bring her forth, and let her be burnt.

38:25 When she was brought forth, she sent to her father in law, saying, By the man, whose these are, am I with child: and she said, Discern, I pray thee, whose are these, the signet, and bracelets, and staff.

38:26 And Judah acknowledged them, and said, She hath been more righteous than I; because that I gave her not to Shelah my son. And he knew her again no more.

11:2 And Gilead's wife bare him sons; and his wife's sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father's house; for thou art the son of a strange woman.

11:3 Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of

Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.

11:4 And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel.

11:5 And it was so, that when the children of Ammon made war against Israel, the elders of Gilead went to fetch Jephthah out of the land of Tob:

Some Mistakes and Misconception 1. Ignorance to biblical covenant to prosperity Jeremiah 23

23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

23:3 And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

23:4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD

OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

23:7 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, which brought up the

children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; 23:8 But, The LORD liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

23:9 Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.

23:10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.

23:11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.

23:12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

23:13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

23:14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.

23:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

23:16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.

23:17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

23:18 For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard it?

23:19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

23:20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

23:22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

23:23 Am I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off?

23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him?

saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

23:28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.

23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

23:30 Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

23:31 Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

23:32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by

their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

23:33 And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.

23:34 And as for the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

23:35 Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

23:36 And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.

23:37 Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD

answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

23:38 But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD;

23:39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence:

23:40 And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.

3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.
