11. KEEP YOUR SPIRITS UP

When we get on the anger wavelength and stay there, more things to be angry and fearful about come into our experience, magnetized by the fear. It is vital for your own health and wellbeing, and the wellbeing of our nation, to make a conscious decision to focus on uplifting thoughts and images.

When you feel your emotions flagging, that's a sign that you need a boost up! Find ways to enliven and re-energize yourself. Put on happy music (I love Pharrell Williams' song "Happy" for this very purpose) and dance around. Who cares if you know how to dance? Somebody made up those steps, so why not make up your own, too, and enjoy yourself?

Look for ways to bring nature into your life on a daily basis, whether it is putting a houseplant on your office desk or by the kitchen sink, adding floral print pictures or throw pillows to your décor, looking at spectacular images of landscapes and naturescapes around the world, or enjoying the antics of your family pet.

Being in nature always has the potential to calm and uplift us. Take advantage of a half-hour evening stroll or morning walk to get yourself centered spiritually. We get so busy with our crammed schedules of appointments and errands and To Do lists that we shortchange the very joy that life on this planet offers us—and that we came here on purpose to experience.

Oh, did you think you arrived here randomly to be part of the transformation to a higher level of human awareness? That's not how it works. We are all eternal beings, and we came to Earth at this time on purpose.

Your higher self knows all about your decision to be here right now—and you came with the full knowledge that it would be challenging to stay positive in the midst of so much terror and fear. But you wanted to help, you wanted to be on the leading edge of change, and you said, "I'm in!"

Keep your hopes up. Become aware of your feelings and the thoughts that preceded them. Thought always comes before the image and then the feelings follow that, but our mind reacts so swiftly that we often assume our feelings come first in the chain reaction.

When you realize you are feeling down or doubtful or discouraged, glance back to your thoughts in the last few moments or days—did you open a big bill and worry that you can't pay it? Even if you immediately countered that with a rote affirmation "Thank you, this bill is paid! Thank you for my prosperity! I now attract all the wealth I desire and require!" if those words stayed on the surface and didn't permeate your inner belief system, then your worry about money has been affecting you, and now you feel stressed.

With our Old Worldview, the idea of counteracting that feeling of stress would be to quickly make an action plan to make more money to pay that bill. But when we leap into logical steps without first paving the way with a deep conviction of worthiness to receive prosperity, those steps won't help. And when the action plan works only a little bit or not at all, and the reaction to that failure results in more stress, it can appear to the rational mind that all of that law of attraction stuff is just useless and what's the point of even trying. Might as well get used to always having too many bills and not enough money.

Can you see how quickly that slippery road down can take you from worry to being totally stressed over money?

Switch those emotions around, keep your spirits up and your dream right in front of you—allow that picture of what you want to pull you forward and keep dancing to lift you right up to the frequency where your dream resides, so you can meet it there.
