1. THE REAL REASON MR. TRUMP WON

Widespread fear elected Donald Trump.

He won by manipulating terror.

He stirred up enough fear and dread in the hearts of millions to gather in a dark cloud of energy around him and thus gain the electoral votes needed to be declared president.

"All the water in the world cannot drown you

unless it gets inside you."

Eleanor Roosevelt

We the Democrats, Progressives and Moderates let fear get inside us, we allowed terror to overwhelm us with anxiety and worry about the future of our country – we pictured the horror of Donald Trump in the White House…and in our unintentional mis-use of the law of attraction, that picture materialized.

Mr. Trump will succeed with his plan to rape and pillage our democracy if we continue to let fear of his actions control our thoughts.

"Let me assert my firm belief that the only thing

we have to fear is fear itself — nameless,

unreasoning, unjustified terror which

paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance."

Eleanor's husband

This is a democracy. We elect our leaders. Holding up signs and tweeting "Not my president" is no doubt a way of stating your reaction, but it doesn't affect the reality of Trump's being handed the keys to our beloved White House for four years.

Despite the countless protests in social media—Trump is our president for now. Even though he is not the People's Choice, since he was not the winner of the popular vote, the Electoral College declared him the winner, and we must make the best of a bad situation.

In my opinion, there are more than a few factors that contributed to Trump's election.

Failure of the media to hold Mr. Trump accountable.

Failure of the national press to demand and get Mr. Trump's financial records— there is only one reason a businessman hides his tax returns, and that is to conceal the true nature of his business associates and the secrets behind his wealth. The world deserves to know exactly where Mr. Trump's financial interests lie, and the sources of his income.

Anxiety over the issues.

There was too much fear in Hillary's campaign particularly in the final weeks, panicked email subject lines that were probably intended to rally supporters, but instead fed into the fear-energy of Mr. Trump's campaign and made him more successful in his bid for electoral votes.

Inadvertently, Hillary's campaign fed the flames of Trump's fear campaign and made it stronger and more powerful.

Our real problem as Democrats was a serious lack of understanding the laws of the mind. Using the law of attraction more skillfully, we could've won the day because we would've magnetized all the good desired, and attracted in people who wanted the progressive results outlined so clearly in Hillary's campaign.

The fervor of Trump's supporters.

Let's put aside talking about the Trump supporters who are racist, misogynist, bigoted, white supremacists, and determined to gleefully extract all they can in profits while exploiting the workers and giving nothing back to society. I don't believe that they represent all Republicans.

I think "regular" people voted for Donald Trump because he stirred up their emotions with his angry rants and gained their support with his lies about improving the economy and bringing work back to the U.S. labor force from foreign countries.

Blinded by his razzle-dazzle, they nodded as if hypnotized, and then looked the other way when news of his lack of integrity spread in social media.

The Electoral College system.

Although the system made sense in 1776, when the white male voters (the only ones allowed to vote, in case you fell asleep in history class that day) lived in far-flung villages and towns, and gathering the votes regionally made it easier to come up with a total in the days before calculators and computers, today the Electoral College is dangerously antiquarian, unfair and outmoded, and must be abandoned.

Apathy.

The emotion of "who cares" swept our land from sea to sea. 90 million eligible voters didn't bother to go to the polls or take advantage of absentee voting by mail. The prevailing sentiment seemed to be that people didn't like either candidate.

Trump's soundbites of hate.

Millions of Republicans bought into his demonized portrayal of Hillary Clinton and didn't take a moment to examine the lies and deception, or to question their adherence to the party platform no matter what items were hidden on the glitter and glamor of wild promises for "greatness."

Celebrity-struck Americans.

A celebrity-awed population held and still holds a distorted belief that Trump's ability to get his name on top of tall buildings means he knows how to create economic recovery—and these very people only accessed the type of media and news programs that support that distortion of his lifestyle, his business history and the devastation he has already caused to his employees and others in his path.

Lack of understanding the President's scope of work.

It's as if millions of Republicans were thinking, "Hey, the President goes on television now and then and talks. Trump can do that! He already does more than that, he's got his own show. Reality TV star? Oh, yeah, he's qualified to be president."

This election was truly won by the woman.

That which was in the shadows is now in the light.

Keep your voices—let your desire be to be heard.

Change comes from the heart.

Live life through you, by choices that you make

– this is the time to choose.

THEO

Those who thought only about Trump's economic promises found it more convenient to ignore, deliberately or not, the rest of his platform on so many other issues, as if it wasn't an all-inclusive meal, and they could order à la carte when he got in office.

And of course, some of his supporters agree with his ideas of an elite white society; they formed alliances with him and stood by him even while decrying and tutting his admissions of groping and assaulting women, and other sordid insights into his view of the world and his place in it.

Did you know that Adolf Hitler was elected? That's right, the people voted him into power in 1932 on the platform of making Germany "great again" after its defeat in the Great War, (later called World War I, but not until we were in the midst of World War II, just in case you were dozing in that history class as well). Hitler's tactics of ranting, bullying, threatening and overriding any opposition landed him in a position of power that he inflated beyond all rationality.

The Third Reich is part of our human history, and we can and should learn from it.

Where do we go from here? Do we simply hope for the best, and wait out the next four years with bated breath, worried what Trump will do next?

Or do we join together and find a way to neutralize Trump's extreme right-wing agenda?

Resistance won't work.

Fighting won't work.

Why? Because pushing against something makes it grow stronger. Fear makes everything worse.

But there is a way we can outwit the bully, and it will be completely nonviolent in nature.

In fact, I believe you'll enjoy the process because every area of your personal life—health, prosperity, self-expression, relationships–will improve as you access the power of your thoughts.

I am here to make a difference. That is why I'm writing this book. And I believe you are here to make a difference, too—a positive difference, not the kind of difference Trump and his supporters are already enacting.

We must make our picture of progressive America—the land of the free and the brave—stronger than Donald Trump's picture of pillage and destruction.

Together we can create magnificent outcomes for many important issues that are dear to progressive and all compassionate citizens. Let's get started without further delay.

"Many people have brought disaster into their lives

through idle words. For example: A woman once asked me

why her life was now one of poverty, of limitation.

Formerly she had a home, was surrounded by beautiful things

and had often tired of the management of her home,

and had said repeatedly, 'I'm sick and tired of things –

I wish I lived in a trunk,' and she added:

'Today I am living in that trunk.'

She had spoken herself into a trunk.

The subconscious mind has no sense of humor

and people often joke themselves into unhappy experiences….

Fortunately the law works both ways,

and a situation of lack may be changed to one of plenty."

Florence Scovel Shinn

Our attention on being against what Trump stands for actually energized his campaign. The tremendous fear over Trump's chance of getting elected was an invisible harmonic energy that bolstered him up and over the final hurdles and into the winner's circle.

On November 9, 2016, like the majority of voters in the United States and progressive thinkers around the world, I was reeling in shock over Donald Trump's presidential win.

As I walked around New York City that day, I witnessed many conversations among Hillary Clinton's supporters that reflected my own dismay. I had been so confident of her win, and I knew that many with intuitive access were confident of it as well (and that prediction was correct: she won the popular vote).

When a stranger sat next to me on the bus and asked how I was feeling, I knew she was referring to the election results. She was filled with anger and fear. After chatting for a while, I told her to consider that if we allow ourselves to hate Trump and fear his agenda, then he has truly won. She told me that my words had helped her feel better, and the idea for this book was born.

I feel I have something of value to share, something important that will help turn this seemingly devastating situation around: I know the laws of the mind and how we create reality with our thoughts. I know how to heal from grief and tragedy. And I know how to stand up to a bully without being subsumed by his anger.
