Tandem formation involves both members of the serving team starting on the same side of the court as the serve is delivered. Before the point is played out the team members decide if the net players will cross and cover the open court or whether the server will cover the open court. Practice should involve the expert timing of the net players move, too early or to late and the advantage will be with the receiving team. The introduction of tactics will help the players move to the next level.
