Chapter 12
Before the van pulled up in front of the main building, the teens, having begun to feel the effects of the day’s events, started to drift off. Although Elaine found herself fatigued as well, she managed to wake the group enough to inform them they were soon heading back to the hotel. This was met by weak groans and nodding heads. But they were soon brought back to life by the van’s sudden stop as the driver pulled up in front of their hotel. Tomorrow would be day two of their tour but for now, the teens were in need of food and sleep and Elaine had already planned out their dinner. It was just a matter of dining in or out and given the condition of the group, she guessed that they would want to eat in their rooms. Plagued by the need for sleep, the teens ate their dinner, seemingly without realizing what they were eating. Some stayed up to watch a bit of TV, while the rest quickly went to sleep. By nine o'clock, everyone had fallen into a deep sleep, their bodies, and minds re-tuning for the next day's activities.
The next morning saw a repeat of the previous day. The teens were slow to rise, prompting Elaine to strongly suggest a return trip home if they didn't quicken their pace. Naturally, with the previous day's memories, the teens were eager to see more and rushed through their morning ritual with uncanny speed. Elaine was truly impressed by how five teenagers could move so quickly when they had a good reason for doing so.
