Even less than a month left now. Perfect time for sorting out giveways and throwaways. We trashed old notebooks and copybooks, old clothes, old utensils, shoes and other stuffs that no longer served us.
We gave away plastic flowers (that served as decorative pieces), colored sketch pens, beads of malas, bracelet holder, almost brand new cups and saucers and plates to our favorite neighbors. We didn’t expect anything in return but we were showered with tiny gifts as well. Soon it would be the day we would be leaving. It was oddly sad and sweet.
We sold away our TV, VCR (Video Cassette Recorder: This is the eighties, remember?), video cassettes and antenna to an ousider family after advertising these ameneties on a piece of paper on the walls near the sea shore. The family was a burgeoning family with only one little child. They were interested in buying and Dad sold the ameneties at a good deal.
Everything now was happening fast.Time to depart and bade a memorable farewell, right?
