Chapter 10: Missy Meeting

The morning after the wedding. As soon as she emerged from the wedding night room, Sorra was being ushered into a room. After they entered, Missy locked the door.

“Just in case Justin tries to come in.”

In the room was the rest of the harem. This being a harem meeting, Abigail is not included.

The will be discussing harem secrets.

“You know why you are here. First of all, spill it. How was the night? I know having the watched session was too formal but afterwords. What did you think of our man?”

"It was overwhelming. I don’t think I have yet to come down from the high of last night. He has some endurance.”

“On the way home, we share a single tent. When that boy gets going there is almost no chance to escape but now, we will find out if he can keep five at one time occupied." Grins were on each face.

“That aside I will explain what he meant about my first time”

Beez groans “I have heard this tale three times so far. Can I be excused?”

“No, everyone needs to be here but I will acquiesce and tell Sorra about it later, it was a sneak attack on the morning wood. Each one of us are to protect Justin and try to keep him happy. You see Justin, Chip and myself are from another world.”

Sorra looks confused.

Missy continues. “Justin was married to one woman for 50 years. In a short space of time his wife died then after that his son died. He was 73 in that world and alone. When he visited his sister, he mentioned casually that he was thinking about getting a pair of house cats. Chip and I were chosen by him but the Watcher guided him to us. You see we were just small ordinary cats. We grew until we were around two years old. One night he went to bed, that night, that old Justin died.”

The Watcher transferred him to this world and we were brought along as his familiars to help him here. We were made humanoid. One night I crept into his room”

Beez “Stop right there. You said that you were going to tell that story later to Sorra. Now you are trying to slip it in.”

“Well, that is kinda the way it happened. I just slipped it in.”

“Please go on”

“Each one of you were shown to me by the Watcher along with the information about each one of you. You were chosen to enter the harem. The biggest reason is to give him the comfort he missed in the old world.”

Sorra asks, “You have mentioned the Watcher many times. What is the Watcher?”

"That entity has chosen to watch over him. To see to his comfort and protection. The Watcher guides people into his life for that reason. For a tough man, Justin can be prone to shall we say old memories. He does not show it to us but the Watcher sees him when he is alone and sad. That is when one or all of us will come to him and engage him in some activity."

"Now that you’re a sister you will find out who the Watcher is and why it must be kept a secret from Justin. If he tries to get it out of you need to just tell him 'The Watcher will let you know 80

when the time is right.' He has heard that so many times from us that he no longer asks us.

You being new he will try. When he hears the same answer, he will know to give up. The Watcher will be talking to you. I know it is a lot to hear at one time and hard to believe but now the Watcher will talk to you. It will be completely clear to you.”

At that moment an intense white light envelopes Sorra as it had with the other three. That lasted but a minute or so and then faded.

Sorra looks confused “How long was I gone? How many days?”

“Not to upset you but you were in the light for only a little more than a minute.”

“No, I was with the Watcher for what seemed like a few days!”

“Yup, that’s the way it felt for all of us."

Missy finishes by asking Sorra,

“Now do you understand why Justin can’t know who the Watcher is and why it is referred to only as the Watcher?”

Sorra just nodded. It truly was overwhelming. The revelation that they were really chosen by a higher power for a purpose. To make Justin happy. Missy was right when she told her before approving her for the harem, they won’t get pregnant until the Watcher reveals itself.

"By the way, what did the Watcher mean when I was told that I now have been granted sonic speed and dive accuracy?"

Beez tells Missy,

"Next time I run the first meeting. This is the last time that we have to sit through the cowgirl story"

Missy just smiles. She did not hear anything. She is lost in the memory of her wild ride that morning,
