It is the Summer of 1944 in a parallel timeline called Timeline 'C'. A defeated Germany has signed an armistice, while Japan, its military leadership decimated and with Tokyo and Osaka destroyed by atomic warheads, is slowly starving under a tight blockade. Ingrid Dows, a young strategic and tactical genius who is also a top fighter pilot and is the American Ace of aces, takes the time to pursue a university degree in aeronautical engineering at the M.I.T. in Boston. Once she will graduate, she will then be able to realize her dream of designing her own aircraft, while continuing to serve the United States.
