Cranford

by

The Classic book Cranford by Elizabeth Cleghorn Gaskell. The novel follows 2 English sisters living together and trying to keep standards with diminishing means. It mixes the highs and lows of life; at times funny while at times heartbreaking. It focuses on friendships, traditions, and perseverance. It’s one of Gaskell’s best works. In fact it was first published as an eight part series in Household Words Magazine edited by Charles Dickens.
