Breaded Fish for the Freezer
Tender white fish, coated in beaten egg and crispy bread crumbs. Pop into the freezer and pull out whenever you want a tasty and highly-nutritious dinner!
Serve with boiled potatoes and peas for a classic, British-inspired supper, or put in a taco or burger for a comfort food twist.
Serves: 12 breaded fish pieces (from 4 fillets, I would say 6 servings in total)
Container: you will need a small airtight container with greaseproof paper to separate the layers of fish so they don’t stick together in the freezer.

Ingredients:
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs mixed with a pinch of salt and pepper
4 large white fish filets, cut into 3 pieces each
Method:
- Prepare by setting the working space with your beaten egg in a small bowl, and your breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper spread onto a plate, have your fish pieces next to them on a plate, ready to be dipped.
- Have a tray lined with baking paper ready too, so you can put the coated fish on it to freeze.
- Dip the fish pieces into the beaten eggs and transfer them straight into the breadcrumbs, turning to coat thoroughly on all sides.
- Place the coated fish onto your lined tray, cover with plastic wrap and place into the freezer until almost frozen.
- Place the almost-frozen fish pieces into your small container lined with baking paper, place another layer of paper between each layer of fish so they don’t stick together.
- Place straight into the oven from the freezer when you want to eat them! Don’t thaw them out first.
