Book Description

When Beth relocated to Costa Rica, the Nicaraguan civil war was over by 7 years. Never could she imagine it would affect her. It didn’t seem so at first; the weather balmy, the people friendly, the language stimulating, culture intriguing and her beach home paradise perfect. She even fell in love. That’s when her troubles began. Truman was a badly scarred Nicaraguan war refugee. As his impenetrable exterior cracked, Beth gained an understanding of armed conflict’s realities and came to love him to such a degree that she could not stop even when logic demanded she do so. Follow Beth as events draw her ever deeper into a world of corruption, cocaine trafficking, gambling, murder - and more - all gifts the Nicaraguan civil war has bestowed upon our planet.
