The Blessing of the Lord HTML version

treasures are, there our heart will be also. We must be sure that
our treasures are truly in heaven. We cannot set our hearts on
material things and wealth; we must continually set our hearts
upon the kingdom of God.
There is much more than can be said about finances, from the
Word of God. Here we are only touching on this area in relation
to God’s blessing.
The Spirit And The Church
There are seven important dimensions of the Spirit in the life of
the church. If the church is to be the channel of blessing that God
intended it to be, these seven dimensions of the Spirit must be
nurtured and allowed to grow and develop. Each of these seven
dimensions were present in the early church; thus the Word of
God gives testimony to each of them. Each of these seven
dimensions also represent streams of renewal, that God has been
restoring to the church since the time of the Reformation. The
blessing of the Lord is to rest upon the church; the Holy Spirit
desires to manifest His blessing in these seven areas. Although
each of these areas have seen extremes or misuse, they are all
vital to the life of the church, if the church is to be the instrument
of blessing that God intended it to be.
The Holy Spirit comes upon God’s people for the purpose of
witnessing and evangelism: "But you shall receive power when
the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My
witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and
even to the remotest part of the earth." (Acts 2:8 NASB).
