before the Lord in prayer, praying daily for their needs and their
lives, will bring in the blessing. The blessing of the Spirit will
move in their lives, in answer to prayer. In fact there may be
challenges and battles which can only be won in prayer.
As we walk in God’s ways and seek to pass on His blessing,
God’s promise will have a great impact: "Then their offspring will
be known among the nations, and their descendants in the midst
of the peoples. All who see them will recognize them because
they are the offspring whom the Lord has blessed." (Isaiah 61:9,
Reversing The Curse: Overcoming Negativism
“Bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.”
(Luke 6:28 ESV).
“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.”
(Romans 12:14 ESV)
Negativism, criticism and complaining seem to pervade the
atmosphere of our society. No one is immune from the stinging
barbs of criticism. Even though you may be trying to do what is
right and good, people may come against you with harshness,
critical statements, or anger. The negative and angry words which
come from man’s fallen nature are actually a form of cursing.
