Let’s Be Frank! Introduction

Ok, I know! How in the world do you expect me to think about making a million dollars when I can’t even generate my first dollar online?

Business whether its offline or online is tuff. Each day we struggle to maintain the current position we are in. We do the same things over and over and never really advance.

Why is that? How can you actually move beyond your current position in the market? These questions are very tuff to answer alone! There are so many variables we need to look at in order to really gain a better prospective on the state of our businesses.

From the desk of Gary Marsh,

Hello there and thank you for downloading this report. I have some answers for you that I think will clear up some of your issues. You know, with all the information online nowadays, it’s pretty easy to see that business can get pretty bogged down.

I find myself constantly getting side tracked by new product launches promising to fix my problems. I spend thousands of dollars thinking that this time next year, I will finally break that 6 figure mark. You’re crazy if you think I’m going to sit here and think about creating a 7 figure income!

Well, that is all about to change with the release of the 7 figure code. You see, we sometimes get caught up in the moment and forget about our ultimate goals in business. In fact, I would stick my neck out a little here and say that about 99% of you ready this report right now doesn’t even have a business plan! Also, I bet you don’t even have a marketing plan in place and are following it!

And you wonder why you cannot justify thinking about The 7 Figure Code?

Look, I’m not here to bash on you or make you feel bad. I’m here to try and open your eyes to some of the reasons you may be experiencing tough times building your business.
Here are some questions I want you to think about for a minute, then, I want you to write these five questions down and remember them every time you decide you want to create an informational product:

1. Do you provide specialized information?
2. Is your content hard to find or unavailable elsewhere?
3. What makes your product exclusive? Is it better than your competitors? If so, how?
4. What is the focus of the information you provide?
5. What do your readers or customers have when they have your information? Also, what do they miss if they didn’t get your information?

I picked up these questions from a well known marketer a long time ago and they stuck in my mind. Have I always followed the five questions when I created my products? Not in the beginning, no. But, the first time I did, wholly cow my business expanded like crazy! How did I change the direction of my business and more importantly, how did I change my mindset on building my business?

That’s what this report is all about. You see, Mike Filsaime is the creator of “The 7 Figure Code” and is a mentor of mine. Now, I’ve never met Mike Yet! But he has inspired me to achieve greater things in my business.

This report is designed to get you thinking about mentorship, going to offline events and even concentrating on the proper mindset. I will talk to you a little about ES or Entrepreneurial Spirit and then go over some key business components. Of course, this report would not be complete without showing you a couple of things you can do to set your organization in the proper position.

It is my hope that this report will open your eyes to actually realizing you can achieve “The 7 Figure Code”. Anything less is just shallow business thinking!

To Your Success, Gary Marsh

Why You Need a Mentor

First thing I think we should lay out on the table is exactly what a mentor is. A mentor is someone who has more experience than you who serves as your confidante over time. Every single big name Internet Marketer I know and have met has one! Why don’t you? Or do you?

I have a little bit of a different view on what a mentor is. At least, I think it’s a little different from the ordinary idea of having a mentor. My idea of a mentor is someone you can readily follow along that will help you build your business. They really do not have to participate in the relationship in any way. All they have to do is show a presence in the public forum. I’ll get more into this in a few minutes.

No matter what the benefit is to the mentor, heck, they may not even know they are your mentor. Anyway, that doesn’t matter. What matters is the benefits to you. You don’t really have to know the person for them to be your mentor.

Take for instance Mike Filsaime. I have followed Mike for quite a while now and have tried to create my business within the same dimension. Although I’ve only been around for a short period, this has helped me out tremendously.

Here are some benefits as to having a mentor to follow:

1. They’ve done what you’re trying to do. You can learn from there mistakes.
2. Using my mentorship way is free for you (in a way). Sometimes you have to spend money on there programs, software, etc…
3. You will always be able to use them to help you build your business. In other words, newsletter sign ups and reading there reports, etc…

Eventually, you may end up meeting the mentor at a function and who knows, you may even develop a friendship that turns into a partnership. This leads us into the next part and that is the offline event.

Offline Events & Their Purpose

My very first offline event was the Underachiever conference Ed Dale and Frank Kern put together back in September of 2006. I had the opportunity to meet Gary Halbert, Jeff Walker, Dr. Mike, and just a ton of other big name marketers. Of course, I met a lot of up and comers as well.

I’m sure you know where I’m leading this: IMME or Internet Marketing Main Event I, II, III, etc…

The whole deal with offline events is the networking and I cannot stress this enough! Ever heard of the thirty second elevator speech? Better have it rehearsed prior to going! Here’s a little insight to the 30 second speech: You may be talking to some real power houses while attending these offline events. Everyone and there brother will be pitching this and that to them. Don’t do this no matter what!

Here’s what you do. Get a picture of you and the IM star to place on your personal blog for all to see. Next, have a thirty second elevator speech ready to go when the intro begins. I guarantee they will ask you what you do.

I can pretty much bet on Frank Kerns knowing or at least remembering me during our conversation at the Underachiever event. All I’ll say here is that there was soap involved in the conversation. What the hell, I tell you.

When I came up to Frank, I hit him with a question that I just knew would get his attention due to his personality. I asked him the following:

Frank; let’s say you’re a sailor and getting ready to leave everything behind for six month’s. What would you do to prepare your business? I have to say that I didn’t even get past the sailor part before he began to answer. Needless to say, the conversation was funny and memorable!

Our paths will cross again someday and when that time comes, I’ll bring up the soap to stir up the memory. I can’t count how many folks I met at that one single event that have gone on to produce great products as well as developed name recognition, JV partnerships, friendships, etc…. Let me ask you this, Do you really think you’ll build a relationship with others via email without ever meeting them? Maybe. But when you sit in a restaurant with five like minded individuals after getting all pumped up with information, the power increases 10-fold in motivating you to get busy.

Not only that, you just may develop a business partnership that’ll last for years and years! Mike talks about how he met up with several big name figures during offline events. If he’s doing it and now his business is worth millions, then don’t you think you should follow his lead?

Business is tough, one of the toughest things I’ve done. In fact, I find it much easier to walk out of the back of a C-130 at 18,000 feet! Like jumping out of airplanes, you simply must have someone in front of you who has been there, done that and bought the T-shirt. Following the experienced out the door at 18,000 feet sure feels better than following the guy who stayed at the Holliday Express last night!

Offline events are a critical part of your online business as Mike’s proven over the last 4 years. Yes, he’s probably worked his ass off over this time, but making the kind of money he makes, you have too! Of course, driving around in that brand new corvette sounds like a good pay-off to me. Not only that, I imagine those who work in his organization also enjoy there work because at any given time, they can go to the local go-cart track and burn off a little steam.

Work Hard, Play Harder… And start getting your butt to the events like IMME.

Your Proper Mindset & the Entrepreneurial Spirit

Is there a proper mindset for this internet marketing deal? Of course there is. Just like any offline business, you need to be in the proper mindset to get anywhere. In the introduction, I mentioned the illustrious business plan. Remember? Well, that plays a huge part in whether or not you’re moving forward in your business.

Many Internet Marketers will jump into just about anything that comes along because they really don’t have a solid plan. In every report and eBook I’ve written so far, I always mention having a solid foundation for your business.

Of course, I usually refer to articles when building the content side of the foundation for longevity. But what you really need first and foremost is a plan to get you from point A to point B. Do you have it?

I bet Mike Does! I know I do as well. What I can tell you though, it cost me several thousand dollars before I finally pulled my head out of the hole I had it buried in! How many marketing systems have you bought that sit nice and pretty on your bookshelves at home?

Is there a system out there that will basically take you by the hand and lead you through the building of your business? Sure, they call it a franchise and it’ll cost you hundred’s of thousand’s of dollars! Is that the true spirit of the Entrepreneur? Not in my opinion! I think that makes you a manager in another person’s business.

Why do I bring this up? Well, for starters, you may or may not be an entrepreneur. I’m no expert here, but I do believe there are many in the IM world who likes the thought of being an entrepreneur, but when it comes down to it, they are only great managers. Can a manager still build a business? Absolutely! But as you know, managers need direction and training to be prosperous.

This is one of the key reasons you see so many How-to programs on the internet. Entrepreneurs are capitalizing on this market like crazy. Is it a win only situation for them and not those who join there training programs? Not always. Think for a second if you had the chance to have Mike Filsaime, John Reese, or Rich Schefren teaching you the ropes? Do you honestly believe that your business would not improve 300-1500%? If I could afford any one of these guys as personal coaches, I would jump on it in a heartbeat! The way I see it is these guys have been there, done that and bought all the T-shirts along the way.

Does this make me a manager? No. And it doesn’t make you one either. What it does make you is a smart entrepreneur who knows that working with the best of the best surrounding you will catapult your business to the 7 Figure Zone!

That is the bottom line in this report. You didn’t actually start building a business to stop or be comfortable at a high 5 figure income. No, you want the lifestyle to do and be anything you want to be!

I know for a fact that most of the world is in the five figure area and continue to do the same things day in and day out. We all know (if you’ve read any motivation books) that if we continue to do the same thing, we will continue to have the same results.

The 7 Figure Code will be the one thing that will open the door to changing your mindset from a simple five or six figure life to the 7 figure mecca!

There are some key components we need to talk about and that is next. For now, let’s talk about the spirit that’s deep down inside of you. We know that entrepreneurship refers to starting and operating your own business. It requires independence, a little individuality and even some creativity.

I read an article from a guy named Joe Love that put things in perspective for me:

“As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned that you have to paddle as fast as the current. If you don’t, the current will push you sideways and take you off course. Then you are vulnerable to the waves that will flip you over.”

Does this quote make sense to you? If your constantly buying program after program without any results, then I do believe the wave is about to flip you over. Don’t you think its time to finally call on someone who will help you get back on track?

Key Business Components

There are some key components you need to consider when building your business. Of course, the two main things I’ll talk about are email marketing and adding a viral component to you marketing. Both work together quite nicely as Mike Filsaime has proven.

In the section called, “Your Organization” I will do a rough layout of how you need to organize your online business structure. But for now, I want to talk about you because you are the primary key component in you’re business. At the end of the day, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and ask did I do everything I could do to better my current situation.

If the answer is yes, go to bed and sleep well tonight. If the answer is no, ask yourself how can I do more? We all have one thing in common and that is that we have only 24 hours each day. What we do with that time ultimately defines the outcome and the current situation we find ourselves in.

If there is a way for you to change your situation, would you take it? Or, are you truly comfortable right where you’re at?

I have a little tale to tell you: First, it’s about me and my current situation. So, I’m telling on myself here.

Let’s lay the ground work here. I am a military man and have just a little under 6 month’s before my 20 year career is over. I’m a little scared and a little excited all at the same time. This mental state has caused me to do some really weird things over the last few month’s.

Even though I have a decent business going and will be able to concentrate 100%, I have a few emotions brewing up due to the fact that I am going to be relying solely on my own efforts to sustain my families current lifestyle.

Let me tell you something, when you’ve done one thing for 20 years, you begin to doubt yourself a little. Am I capable of doing this without the navy blanket? Will I succeed or fail in civilian life? Do I have what it takes to break the 7 figure code all by myself? The questions could go on and on. Do you sometimes feel a little uneasy about breaking your current mold? It’s a tough thing to do after doing something for so long. I consider myself a tough guy who doesn’t show a lot of emotion and can handle some of the worst situations all the while smiling. But I have to say that this last six month’s has really caused me to question some of my abilities.

Why is that? Why am I starting to question myself here during what will become the best years of my life? It’s that comfort zone! Are you nice and cozy right now in your comfort zone? Well, to get out of my comfort zone, I have to think back to jumpin’ out of perfectly good airplanes.

It takes a lot to walk out of that airplane for the first time. I’ve seen guys literally puke in there shirts before stepping out into the wild blue. My first jump was a night jump in the middle of the day! In other words, my eyes were completely closed when I left the aircraft and they didn’t open back up until I felt the opening shock of the canopy.

Sometimes, you are required to take that leap of faith! If you choose not to, where will it leave you? Right back where you started! Get the number one key component of your business in line…

If that means you have to step out of your comfort zone to do it, well then, you better do it. It’s like speaking in front of a group for the first time. You begin to freaking yourself out with all the “if this and if that” mumbo jumbo. Then, just as soon as your name hits the horn, you walk out on the stage and stutter over the words and feel the tremble of your body. Congratulate yourself because you just stepped out of the comfort zone. Now go do it again and again until it becomes your comfort zone!

Some of the other key elements I will briefly hit on are email marketing and Mike’s mastering of viral marketing. Between the two of these, if you nail them, you’re going a long ways in your business!

Email Marketing

Email has been and continues to be a very big part of internet marketing. Every big name marketer talks about building your list and I am no different. I follow the leaders when it comes to this part of my business. You should be paying close attention to guys like Mike who’ve created list that reach over 600,000!

Over the last two years, I’ve come across some really great list builders whom I learned a ton of information from. In fact…

Here are five questions you need to understand before launching your email marketing campaign:

1. Who are you?
2. What do you want?
3. Why should I care?
4. What’s in it for me?
5. What do I do now?

I cannot for the life of me remember who I heard this from. But one thing I did remember is that in order to develop great relationships with those on my list, I have to constantly ask those five questions.

Email is one of the toughest parts of the business. Just getting people to open the darn email is hard enough when you’re not a recognized figure. Let alone getting them to click through to the webpage of whatever you’re offering.

When I first started, it took me almost a year to build a list of 300 subscribers! A year! Now I can get sign-ups even before I’m ready for signups! Now, I don’t have anything near what Mike has, but following Mike over the last 9 month’s I have increased sign up rates by 300-400%. Thanks Mike! I bet you had no idea did you?

Anyway, email is something you need to take serious. When you sit down to write out an email, every single word you use needs to be scrutinized. Oh, and write the email yourself, put your personality in the email. Unless of course you have someone to do that for you and has already built up the list personality. If that’s the case, don’t change it.

The biggest thing is to follow those who’ve been there, done that! That means you need to sign up to there list (all of them you can find) and read every thing they write. Follow there styles and see the personality they present.

Keep a running excel sheet on all the when, what, where, why of there marketing campaigns. You can gain a lot from following there marketing. For instance, you will know how many times a week they send out emails out. You’ll also get a great idea as to how many promotions they do and lastly, you will notice that each and every one of them write there own marketing emails and do not use the pre-generated emails offered by the affiliate programs.

You simply must use your personality in this business to go far! Or at the very least, use the same personality for all correspondence you do. If that means you use someone else to write all your emails, continue to use that person as long as you can.

Next up, we need to talk about viral marketing and I will refer to Mike’s report called Virology – “The Secret Science of Viral Marketing”.

Virology

Mike is the master when it comes to using viral marketing tactics! Most of what is covered in this chapter will be nothing more than a refresher from Mikes report Virology.

In Virology on page six, Mike starts off with a great quote:

"Viral marketing is the process of implementing means or tools through which the knowledge of your existence self-propagates."

-Michel Fortin

Michel’s got it going on doesn’t he? Anyway, it is our hope that something we create during any part of our business existence will become viral. Hotmail has got to be the best use of adding a viral component ever.

Next in line would have to be John Reese’s Traffic Secrets and now he’s working on Income.com which seems to have quite the calling. Mike really took off in his business through viral marketing. If you’ve read Virology, then you’d remember he talked about promoting his sites heavily with free advertising.

Originally, viral marketing was known as word of mouth advertising. Word of mouth has been occurring since the beginning of our existence. Back in the early days, guys like Ghengis Khan really knew how to spread the word like a disease!

Civilizations for hundreds of miles feared him! When he started at thirteen due to the death of his father, senior members of his tribe ridiculed his plan and not only that, they abandoned him and his family. What really spread was the fact that he was in fact a stern leader when word got out about how he didn’t hesitate killing his own brother after stealing food from the group.

What I’m getting at here is that Ghengis did the things necessary to get the word out about whom and what he stood for. Are you coming up with ways to create the viral component to your business?

If you haven’t read Virology yet, you simply must! Let’s move on to…

List Building Guide To Profits

Speaking of Virology, I wrote an eBook on my personal list of programs for building my list. This eBook is a gem when it comes to using FREE advertising venues. I also talk about some of the paid advertising I’ve done as well.

In the report, I define email marketing as well as give away 20 articles you can use to get your mind in the writing mood. But that isn’t the best part of the report. Here is the viral component I used to launch “The Weekend Challenge”.

The weekend challenge is a membership site designed around the 2-part article and how I incorporated Mikes virology components. Now, the two articles I use as part of the 2-part phenomenon do not get submitted to the directories. They actually are a part of the site itself.

In a nutshell, I will write 20-30 articles of 400-800 words talking about the challenge and the way I use articles. I launch those articles to the directories and the eZines. In the articles, I have a link in the resource box that points to the first part of the 2-part article series.

From there, they head into the first part of the article. I still have not collected the email address as this is a form of soft sell.

Now, after they read the article on the page, there is a link at the bottom pointing the reader to the tell-a-friend script of Mike’s called Viral Friend Generator. I offer a killer bonus to the reader for referring others to the article.

They can chose not to tell there friends or they can invite up to five. Then I send the reader to the second part of the article. Now I introduce myself with a little introduction in the beginning. I also placed a video that allows the reader to see what this weekend challenge is all about.

From there, the reader then can finish off the second part of the article. At this point, they come to a crossroads. Do they want more information or is this nothing they want to do. There is no other alternative here. I want only highly targeted and interested subscribers from this point on. The report I’m offering is nothing more than an extension to the 2-parts of the article. Between the three, I am giving away a ton of information and all the while building up to the one time offer.

The site is set up for FREE subscribers as well as those who whose the one time offer. I also have in place a downsell that offers my manuscript of how the whole system is created step by step.

The reason I talk about this is because I am a no name in the industry right now and yet I’ve been able to generate three list off of this one system that ranges from 1,000 to 8,700. My total listing is close to 12,000 subscribers.

Through tracking, I have discovered that the tell-a-friend script has caused a bulk of the traffic! Thank You Mike Filsaime….

Check out the way I’ve set things up by clicking the following link now:

The Weekend Challenge

Are you positioned to actually work with this many subscribers? This leads me to the next chapter that talks about you’re organization…

You’re Organization

When it comes to organizational skills, Rich Schefren is second to none. He is the one all the known marketers go to for business development and structure. Mike has referred to Rich on several occasions and I’m sure his organization has a lot of Rich qualities built into it.

In fact, here really soon, Rich has another report coming out. I wonder what he has in store next? Mike has The 7 Figure code which will be a much anticipated program when it launches as well. In fact, I think it will be the best thing we’ve seen from him yet!

Enough about that, let’s get into your organization and how you should prepare yourself for the next level. One thing Mike talks about in his video is the big rocks and how you need to concentrate on them before hitting it up with the little rocks.

You know what, Watch the video:

7 Figure Code Revealed

I think just this first video has enough information that you should really get some interest in what Mike is teaching. The seven figure code is not just about the money, it’s about the process.

If you have the process in place, do you think you will be much more ready to accept the next level in your business? Let me ask you this, if you already had this process in place, where do you think your business would be right now?

I could justifiably say that your business could in fact be where guys like Mike’s business is at. What do you think?

The link above is to the first installment of the videos Mike has in store prior to the seventh day of the seventh month of 2007.

7 Figure Code Revealed Follow Mike as he launches another viral mammoth into the IM world!

Let’s Be Frank!

This is where I really tell you like it is. It’s also where I usually piss a lot of people off because they just don’t like hearing the truth! If you’re doing what you’ve always done, then you’ll get what you’ve always gotten!

Life is filled with unpredictable events that we must face sometimes head on. Tonight as I was on my way home from the in-laws house, we (my wife and I) almost got hit head on by a stupid SOB who was trying to take a corner in the fog way to fast. He obviously had no idea as to what his car could or could not do!

The reason I bring this up is that you never know what’s coming around the next corner. Who knows if we will ever make it to the next corner! If you honestly work hard at building your online business and continue to struggle, then you need some help. Not just any help. You need help from someone who truly has been there done that.

There are many high profile marketers out there that are willing and able to help you develop your business and even help you take it to the next level. Whether you’re a five figure, six, or even a seven figure business, there are people that will help you.

Will it cost you? Maybe yes, maybe no. Isn’t it worth the cost to advance? Heck yeah it is! Don’t think you can go it alone and especially don’t think there isn’t help waiting around the next corner.

In closing, Mike Filsaime is a man who gives back and has not forgotten where he started. Come 07/07/2007, you’ll find out just how much Mike is willing to help you.

If you’re willing to stick around, I’ll get you a front seat to all the videos that will come out over the coming weeks and I’ll even have a ver
