EXPLOSIVES

(1)

Proper Selection of shot firers/Blasters and Explosive carriers authorized by the Manager.

(2)

Transportation of Explosives only by the licensed Explosive Van from Explosive magazine to site of charging. No vehicle other than the explosive van will enter the magazine premises. The security guard posted at the magazine shall enter in a bound page register the in & out time of the explosive van each time the name of the person accompanying the explosive van. No authorized person shall enter the magazine premises.

Loading & unloading of explosives magazine cartridges & accessories ( DF, Detonators, Cord Relay & Shock tube detonators ) shall be done only by explosive carriers in the presence of Blasting Supervisor & Magazine in-charge(Clerk).

(4) Quantity of Explosives & accessories should be assessed in advance. The requisition & transit slip should be prepared accordingly duly signed by the blasting foreman, Blasting Officer &Manager or his representative. In the Transit slip issued to the blasting foreman name of the person assessing the blasting foreman in handling and transportation of explosive and the name of the explosive van driver shall be entered. No unauthorized person shall enter the magazine premises.

(5) The Explosive Van & magazine shall be locked is the presence of magazine in charge & Blasting supervisor. The Blasting supervisors who have received the explosive from the magazine will retain the key of the explosive Van. Main magazine key will retained by the magazine clerk.

(6) The lock of main magazine & Explosive van will be sealed in the presence of magazine in-charge & blasting supervisor. The punch will be retained by magazine in-charge.

(7) Blasting Officer at store will check the lock of explosive van.

Any person authorized by Managers will check the seal & lock of explosive Van at site of charging.

(9)

The explosive in the explosive van shall be checked at site of charging by concerned O/M or M/S at that face in the presence of Blasting Supervisor & Blasting Officer & countersigned in the Transit slip.

(10) The quantity of Explosive charge at each face shall be entered in the transits slip.

(11) The unused explosive of the day shall be returned to the main magazine at the end of the same day.

(12) Return of unused explosive & accessories if any will be done to the mine Magazine & record of it shall be maintained in the proper form as per the explosive Act.
