Book Description

One moment, Shirley Brown is in Los Angeles playing the game with her best friend Phyllis Johnson. It’s a cool Saturday morning, and it’s the last time they will ever play it. The next moment, she’s gasping for air. She awakens as a clap of thunder roars overhead. She’s standing beside her bed. Not the bed in Los Angeles, the one in Copper Springs, Oklahoma. She was dreaming? Of course she was dreaming. It was the same dream she’d been having all week. Each night a little bit more would be added. Tonight--Shirley didn’t want to think about tonight. It’s just a dream. Nothing like that will ever happen. Will it?
