Haynta is a girl of seventeen, a student at Clarks Hill Institute for troublesome children, who is and has always been a loner. Yaan is a girl of nine rambling her days across golden meadows on an idyllic farm, but no one knows that she can see things in this quiet country, Lenima, that no else can.How will the lives of these three children bear upon each other, and upon the country? In the still moment between the rising and falling of a great wing, the story will be told.
