14. Easter Poems

This Easter let the kids express themselves with poetry. They can write an Easter poem, decorate it and then read it to friends or family.

In the classroom, they can display their poems or everyone’s Easter poem can go into a book for the whole class to enjoy.

An acrostic poem is one of the simplest poems to start with. The word Easter can be used and children will set out the letters of the word as shown. The children then write one line about Easter for each letter.

Other words can also be used for the acrostic poem. You could also use Bunny, Easter Eggs, Chocolate, Rabbits or Chickens.
