Once there was a tawny scrawny lion who chased monkeys on Monday, kangaroos on Tuesday, zebras on Wednesday, bears on Thursday, camels on Friday, and on Saturday, elephants!
So begins the classic story of a family of ten fat rabbits that teach the hungry lion to eat carrot stew so that he doesn’t eat them.
“The Tawny Scrawny Lion” tells the story of a perpetually hungry lion who learns friendship and peace when a clever family of rabbits introduces him to carrot stew, transforming his life from chasing animals to sharing meals.
Even though he hunts endlessly, the lion remains thin and unsatisfied, frightening all the jungle animals.
A family of ten fat rabbits decides to intervene.
Instead of being eaten, one rabbit invites the lion to join them for carrot stew.
The lion, skeptical but hungry, agrees to try it.
The stew is hearty, delicious, and importantly includes fish, making it more filling for the lion.
After eating, the lion feels satisfied for the first time.
