Good Night, Little Bear
The book begins with Mother Bear reading Little Bear a bedtime story and giving him a goodnight kiss.
Father Bear carries Little Bear toward his bedroom, but when he arrives, Little Bear is nowhere to be seen.
A humorous sequence follows. Father Bear looks in various places; under the stove, in the garden, in the wood box, but cannot find him.
The joke is that Little Bear is hiding in plain sight, visible to readers but unnoticed by Father Bear.
Finally, Father Bear passes a mirror and sees Little Bear's reflection, ending the game of hide and seek.
