Nothing is going to bring back the golden age niceties boomers experienced. Nothing. The powers-that-be got scared and vowed to never let that happen again. Sad. So, they co-opted the system, making everything backward; liberals became fascists, and righties became complainers who do nothing. The boomers, for their part, opted out of the system when the draft ended and they were allowed to prosper. Succeeding generations, pun intended, were too stupid, too lame, or too lazy to carry the ball. So they got theirs and expect you to cry about it. ...... The permitted tragedy has been seventy years in the making, and will not disappear overnight, no matter what. ........... Best we can do for now are to resurrect some nice old dreams, soon to die away forever, and begin to cover the long disdained and discredited road for the possible benefit of our children and our children’s children.
Nevermore. ...... Never mind.
Don’t you just hate it when your dreams mirror the reality sleep was designed to escape. Fred’s dream was classified; “Dreams to be Continued - Current Events.”
