The Bureau of Unfinished Reveries

In a forgotten wing of the Library of the Unclear (LOTU); wedged between the Department of Misfiled Epics and the Vestibule of Vague Intentions, there exists a peculiar office known as the Bureau of Unfinished Reveries. Its sole employee, Archivist Moe Null, is a seemingly translucent figure who wears a tie made of expired metaphors and speaks only in footnotes.

Let's pan the camera slowly across the Bureau of Unfinished Reveries and linger on Archivist Moe Null, whose presence is less a body than a suggestion of one.

Moe Null is not so much translucent as inconsistently rendered. His outline flickers between half remembered silhouettes and editorial omissions. At times, he resembles a bureaucrat sketched hastily in the margins of a dream journal; at others, a smudge on the vellum of forgotten intentions.

His suit is stitched from the margins of abandoned manuscripts, with lapels that curl like question marks. The aforementioned tie of expired metaphors shifts shape hourly; sometimes a dangling participle, sometimes a simile that never quite lands. His shoes are mismatched; one a footnote citation, the other a parenthetical aside.
