A classic springtime tale from Margaret Wise Brown, the author of Goodnight Moon!
This classic story follows a little bunny as it discovers a blue egg and begins to wonder about all the wonderful things that might be inside.
A lonely bunny wanders about and comes across a large egg.
He hears something moving inside and begins to imagine all the possibilities. Maybe it's a mouse, a bird, or even another bunny.
Curious, he tries different ways to open the egg. He shakes it, rolls it, and even sits on it, but nothing happens.
Eventually, the bunny grows tired and falls asleep beside the egg.
While he sleeps, the egg cracks open and a duckling hatches.
The duckling explores, plays, and eventually wakes the bunny.
At first, the bunny is startled, but soon the two realize they can be friends.
The story closes with the bunny and duckling together, no longer lonely.
