Remembrances in Future Tense
During a mid-term Philosophy 101 class, eighteen year old freshman and officially recognized prodigy, Jonathan Farquar, confidently made the observation; “Whether or not existence precedes essence matters less than zero in a pre-destined world, as judgment pre-dates inception.” This semantically based argument was extrapolated from the discussion monitored by the speechless, fortyish, thin, balding and impeccably bearded professor, who happened to be male.
The ensuing silence was broken by an unseen call from somewhere outside the closed and stuffy room, of; “Who gives a shit? Just fuck it.”
The second silence was disturbed by the raucous laughter of the two impeccably bearded janitors; fortyish, thin, balding and presumably male, who apparently had come to the conclusion that it was not necessary to clean the ladies’ room.
