Little Golden Book. Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division rhymes, in this charming parent-child teaching book.
The book is a collection of traditional nursery rhymes centered on numbers, counting, and playful repetition. It includes:
"This Little Piggy" - the iconic finger and toe rhyme, dramatizing five piggies with humorous fates; "went to market,"
"stayed home," "had roast beef," "had none," "cried wee-wee-wee all the way home."
Other counting rhymes include selections such as "One, Two, Buckle My Shoe," "Ten Little Indians," "One for the Money," and similar verses that help children learn sequencing and rhythm.
Some rhymes are cumulative; building verse by verse, while others are short jingles, all designed to be read aloud and acted out.
This little book preserves traditional folk rhymes that had been passed down orally for generations.
