fleeting glimpse of the audiences that gather to watch the train pass by, the caboose wishes for just a moment of their admiration. But it seems as if nobody notices it, as their eyes are fixed firmly on the grander elements of the train. With each clatter of the tracks beneath its wheels, the caboose grows increasingly despondent. It yearns to be of value, to have a moment where it too can shine and contribute to the train’s journey. But as the train pushes forward over the rustic landscape, the feeling of unimportance nags at the little red caboose's heart. The majestic scenery flowing by; the verdant valleys, the towering mountains, the meandering rivers, serves only to heighten its sense of longing for a role that would truly matter.
