Chapter 10
24
Frank spent the next few days studying with intermittent breaks walking and stretching his muscles aching from too many hours of sitting. Although he wanted to continue exploring the DC area, he chose to wait until his date with Ava. She had her heart set on showing him the National Archives and wanted to share this experience with her. It wasn’t that he was becoming involved; he simply felt it was important to be considerate regarding her feelings. This feeling was somewhat alien to him. He had never developed feelings for anyone. It wasn’t that he was ever attracted to anyone; he simply felt nothing towards anyone. Now, he was experiencing the stirring of something that seemed both foreign and deeply uncomfortable. But he dismissed it as something that everyone feels eventually. In all honesty, as uncomfortable as Frank was about these newfound emotions, he was looking forward to his date with Ava. Ordinarily, he was someone who largely kept to himself, but he thought that perhaps it was time to become a bit social. But this did not change his opinion of people, and he was not about to become a ‘social butterfly’.
