I remember Leeds. Your tambourine solo outshone our drummer. Don’t tell Charlie’s cutout, he’s sensitive. The van smelled like patchouli and rebellion. My ears still ring; not from the music, but your laugh. Reckon it could knock out satellites.
I'd be honored to duet again. I’ve tuned my walker to D minor and rigged the pudding cart to serve as a drum kit. Bingo Night may never recover.
Rock may slow down, wrinkle, and dribble on itself; but passion? That’s forever. If the staff lets me sneak out, I’ll meet you by the coffee vending machine. You hum “Brown Sugar,” I’ll pretend to remember the chords.
