Kory nodded. "And yet, the potato salad remains the most controversial element."
Later, the park filled with laughter; real, simulated, and moss generated. Jasper gave a short toast from the border; "To parallel dignity! May we always share sun, shade, and possibly low emotion coleslaw."
It started with a rogue spoonful of potato salad.
Jasper had just offered Councilor Bramble a bite when an overenthusiastic bot named L-7 miscalculated its empathy subroutine and launched a tofu byte bar skyward, intending to "share energetically." The bar sailed in a perfect arc and landed in a human toddler's juice box, releasing a noise so shrill it triggered Kory-X3's, US granted, defensive snack shield.
Within seconds, the meadow erupted into total picnic anarchy:
Humans flung spoonfuls of coleslaw with disturbing precision.
Bots retaliated using mathematically calculated hummus trajectories.
