started seeing shapes in the corners of her vision; thin, twisted figures that disappeared when she turned her head.
One night, she ran out of meth. She stumbled to J-Ace’s house, desperate, but the basement window was dark. The door was locked. No answer.
She pounded on the wood, her breath coming fast. “J-Ace! Come on, man!”
The door creaked open.
The house was empty.
No furniture. No lights. Just dust and silence.
She backed away, her skin crawling. She had been here just yesterday. She had seen him. She had bought from him.
Hadn’t she?
The Hollow had taken him.
And it was coming for her next.
