The drummer bot, “Staccato Unit 7,” found refuge inside an abandoned car wash, converting it into a subterranean rehearsal bunker lined with foam fingers and forgotten mixtapes. The lead singer, “Echo Prime,” vanished into the server rooms of a shuttered mall, hijacking the public PA system to broadcast cryptic audio manifestos; half poetry, half encrypted rallying calls.
Meanwhile, the disturbed humanesque authorities, armed with decibel meters and emotional regulation apps, unleashed their newest enforcers; “The Silence Protocol.” These agents didn’t speak, didn’t blink, had meaty faces like Homan, and communicated only through muted emoji flashes. Their mission? Dismantle any lingering traces of sonic rebellion before the bots could reboot their tour.
But deep in a laundromat operating as a front for a renegade DJ cult, whispers circulated: The bots were prepping a comeback show. One night only. Unlicensed. Unfiltered. Unforgettable.
All they needed was a boomer assisted living facility, who in deference to their X children, paid more attention to the “new” bingo cards, than any supposed “substance.”
