I understand there’s a big problem with the ‘sexpats’ and the drunken idiots causing trouble in the ‘sanctuary’ cities. And I know there’s the ‘savior complex’ of people acting high and mighty because they’re ‘helping’ by acting as if they were blind, and spending the money they managed to not have stolen from them in the decayed town of New York City. But there was a moment when he talked to the people at the table next to us in Hausa, and I know he was talking about me. He said “blah blah blah San Francisco blah blah” and sort of laughed. And I don’t know if he was saying, ‘Check this out, I’m going to make this dumb White guy eat a cow tongue’ or what. Maybe it was nothing. But it made me feel stupid for being there.
