I took up the violin for a while and actually released a few songs on MP3 Juice under the name Itzhak Diddley. I was under the impression that ethnic diversity was in, and I put a drawing of a moulinyan on the cover, but I got zero sales. The standardized structure mixed with driving improvisation must have been too inventive for the mass taste. I mean like they have grudgingly accepted Coltrane’s “A Few of My Favorite Things” after he was dead. That’s the only time the jerks recognize genius.

Wifey #2 came along for a short time. She too was jewish, as living in Israel there is little other choice other than a Palestinian. And yuck on that. I had transferred to MOSSAD’s Tel Aviv office because my supervisor in Haifa had the common bookworm’s fetish of being a big macho man, and kept inviting me to “pump iron” and look at muscle magazines with him after work.
