The next day after Grayson had gone and Zac had left for school Summer sat down and explained everything to Madge.

“Oh Madge what if it's my fault? What if Alice had finally found out about me and Gray and could not bear it?” Summer asked wanting an honest answer.

“Oh my” said Madge “the poor soul. She obviously had her reasons but I doubt that you were the cause of them. Guilt won't achieve anything on your part as she had made up her own mind deciding to take such a drastic step. Unfortunately now there will be no reasoning as to what made her do that, as final as it was,”

“But she had a child, a Daughter, how could she feel she could do that leaving her behind?” asked Summer.

“Sometimes life can be harder to bear for some people than others” Madge replied sadly.

The next time Gray arrived Summer asked if they could talk about it but Grayson's answer was a firm NO.

He then added that Alice had created a very selfish act, not even considering the outcome of her actions. Just leaving everyone behind to clean up the mess.”

Summer felt something go cold inside of her but decided to give Grayson the benefit of the doubt considering the shock he had just gone through.

So life carried on.
