First, credit where credit is due.

To Kitty Matz for not only offering to beta read but taking on the monumental task of proofreading this thing. I am so thankful for your generosity and friendship!

To my aunt, Danette Fortson, for not only reading and commenting on my book but for all of your prayers and open conversations on what it means to truly follow Christ.

To my beta readers:  Aaron Cariño, Tara Androes Kelley, Whitney Harris, Matthew Miranda, and Holly Streck. I truly appreciate you all taking the time to read and for giving me your honest opinion of the book. You have no idea how your encouragement and kind words kept me going through this whole process!

To my parents, Mel and Maria Fortson, for always supporting me and sacrificing so I could hone the writing skills God gave me.

To my grandmother, Janet Paniagua, for constantly cheering me on.

To my best friend and sister from another mister, Meaghan Goldberg. You have such a big heart, and I’m so grateful to have you in my life.

To Matthew Clay, my husband who has to deal with the crazy side not everyone else gets to see. I love you and admire your extreme perseverance.

To Ava Clay, my daughter, who has seemed to have inherited a good portion of my genetic crazy. I’m so sorry, but Mommy still loves you.
