This is something I have tried so cannot really say how good the service is. As a business minded person and as this is such an important process I would not use a free service.
I currently use Aweber as the service is very good and they are a well established company and are not too expensive. If I had the spare time I would look at a good stand alone product like ListMailPro but as stated earlier website promotion is my number one priority :-)
