Mr. Nortreus Took the Bus to

Head Home

A pattern that might seem unusual to you, but is quite familiar to Mr. Nortreus, involves walking around the town to reach his office, the park, his home, or other destinations.

Generally, he does not rely on a car or bus; instead, he prefers to walk most of the time. Since it was already late, he departed from the park in the late afternoon, making his way to the bus stop to catch a bus home.

When he arrived at the bus stop, he waited for a few minutes until the bus arrived.

“Ah, come on!” He exclaimed.

“I need to get home already!”

“I haven't seen a bus heading my way yet,” he muttered while waiting at the stop.

It was true that he was not alone; other people were waiting as well.

Fortunately, after a short wait, a bus came.

“Finally, it's time to head home!” He said as the bus approached.

Once the bus came to a halt, he boarded and chose a seat by the window to enjoy the city view.

“Welcome aboard!” said the bus driver, a black man, as he greeted his passengers.

“Thank you!” Mr. Nortreus responded while making his way to his seat.

Other passengers at the bus stop also expressed their gratitude with a chorus of “Thank you!”.

The bus driver replied with a cheerful, “Welcome on board, everyone!”.

As soon as everyone was seated, the bus departed from the stop.

“Please hurry now,” he repeated, glancing at his watch once more to check the time.
