Celine Were Seen in Her
Classroom
While Mr. Nortreus was speaking with his staff member, Mrs. Medjina, at his office, Celine was observed in her classroom taking notes along with other students.
Her teacher, who was conducting the lesson, was writing notes on the board about what she was teaching in elementary school. All the students were seated at their desks, taking notes.
The class included both Black and White students, of course.
“Come on time!”
“Can you hurry up?”
“I was supposed to be out by 12 so my friend and I could go relax in the park,” she said quietly as she was writing notes.
In truth, she could hardly wait for school to let out at 12 PM so she and her friend could enjoy their time in the park.
Soon after, as she rummaged through her bag, her fingers brushed against a sheet of paper from Mr. Nortreus's notebook, piquing her interest.
“Oh, I remember you!”
“Um, Mr. Nortreus!”
“Wherever you are, I will find you.”
“I will find you!” She repeated, smiling as she gazed at the sheet of paper.
