Introduction

Benny the Cat is a hero. He rescues those who are in danger and those who simply need assistance. He is a smart, short-tempered, alert, and brave cat. He is a gray tabby cat with green eyes. He is medium-sized.

 

Benny resides in the city of Locktown. Benny resides in a small apartment by himself. Benny is a superhero during the day and a part-time math tutor during the evening hours.

 

He wears a teal bow tie when he isn’t wearing his superhero cape. He used to wear his superhero bow tie. He now wears his electric blue cape again. When he wears his powered cape, he gains superhero powers.

 

The cool part about Benny’s hero job is that when he wears his superhero cape, he gains superhero powers. For example, he can shoot lasers from his eyes and paws. He gains super-strength. He can blow cold air from his mouth if needed. Benny can also strike lightning.

 

Night vision is one of his powers. He has super speed, which helps him run faster than a cheetah. He can also fly. He has other powers yet to be discovered.

Story #1

 

Darkwave is a dark brown tabby cat with dark brown eyes. He wears a dark purple cape, a dark purple eye mask, a dark purple and black top hat, and purple gloves most of the time. Sometimes he wears a dark purple-colored bow tie when he isn’t wearing his villain costume. He is one of the villains of the story, but he gets along with Benny and his friends sometimes.

 

Valentino is a light gray, long-haired cat with gray eyes. He wears a light purple bow tie. He is cool and nice. Valentino is one of Benny’s best friends.

 

Valentino and Darkwave are next-door neighbors. They aren’t really friends. They live in townhouses. Darkwave’s townhome is brown and is two-floored. Valentino’s townhome is dark green and also two-floored.

 

Valentino is sitting outside in a blue chair on his porch in his front yard. Darkwave decides to come outside.

 

Valentino: Hi, Darkwave.

Darkwave is frustrated.

 

Darkwave: What? How about you go inside?

 

Darkwave laughed evilly. Valentino ignored the comment.

 

Valentino: How about you be quiet and do something useful for once? Look, I’m drawing!

 

Valentino has a notepad and a pencil. He drew a picture of a superhero tiger. It was not very good. Darkwave was wondering what he drew.

 

Darkwave: Let me see!

 

He saw Valentino’s drawing.

 

Darkwave: That’s your drawing?! (Laughs). It’s hideous!

 

Darkwave the cat slapped the notepad out of Valentino’s paw.

Valentino: Hey!

 

 

Valentino was now frustrated and upset. They both parted ways.

 

Story #2

 

Benny has a talking car named Flash. Flash is an intelligent, self-driving, and self-navigating coupe car. He is mostly blue and has orange-colored design features and stripes on each side of the car. The windshield represents his digital eyes, eyebrows, and mouth. His voice comes from the engine. The interior of the car has five beige-colored faux leather seats. The color of the car’s tires is white with silver rims.

 

He also encourages Benny to learn how to drive on his own without him helping. Flash knows that Benny is scared to drive. However, his owner, Benny, holds a driver’s license. Flash has a built-in GPS, camera, snacks, and so much more.

 

His license plate reads: “BTHEHERO.”

Flash steers the steering wheel, uses the gas and brake pedals, uses the turn signals, operates the windshield wipers and headlights, and more. Flash and Benny both know the traffic laws. And what does Benny do? Benny just sleeps, reads, or does nothing behind the wheel.

 

Benny the cat designed and built his car, Flash.

 

Most cars run on gasoline, but Flash runs on strawberry cake. Flash is also Benny’s friend. He is nice, smart, caring, cool, and friendly.

 

Story #3

 

The author’s favorite characters in the book series are Darkwave, Cheddar, and Benny.

 

Story #4

 

Benny is cleaning up the trash, surprisingly, in Darkwave’s neighborhood. Benny is tired, and he is working hard. Darkwave sees him.

Darkwave: Hey, Benny!

 

Benny: I’m a little busy now.

 

Darkwave: You look like you could use a nap!

 

Darkwave laughed. Benny was frustrated.

 

Story #5

 

In Darkwave’s neighborhood, there is a raccoon named Rocky. He lives next to Darkwave. Rocky the raccoon is a gray and black raccoon with brown eyes. He is both nice and aloof. He wears a black bow tie. He is new to the neighborhood.

 

Rocky wants to talk to Darkwave. He is holding a plate of baked blueberry pie. Rocky knocked on Darkwave’s door. He opened the door.

 

Darkwave: What is it?! Oh, you new here or something?

Rocky: Yes. It’s Rocky. Anyways, I have some good news!

 

 

Darkwave (cheerfully): You’re finally moving away?!

 

Darkwave smiled.

 

Rocky: Uh, no? I baked the best blueberry pie! Wanna try it?

 

Darkwave: No way! Get lost!

 

Rocky is confused.

 

Darkwave: By the way, I waved hi to you many times, and you didn’t wave back!

 

Darkwave slammed the door angrily.

 

Rocky was upset and went back home.

Story #6

 

Dr. Dawn Moonlight is a cat who is a scientist. She is Benny’s scientist and mentor. She designed and made Benny’s superpower cape. She gave him the ability to possess numerous, various superpowers.

 

She is a small, black cat with green eyes. She wears a white lab coat and a gray beaded silver moon-shaped necklace. She designs and makes Benny’s superhero outfits specifically for him. She has a twin brother named Midnight who is a successful musical artist. Dr. Moonlight is nice, intelligent, and helpful.

 

Story #7

 

There are some cool facts about Benny’s talking, self-driving car named Flash!

 

Flash can communicate and help his owner, Benny, out by communicating with him through his alarm clock, digital smartwatch, smartphone, and more.

Often when Flash calls Benny through his smartphone and smartwatch, Flash’s full digital face is seen on the screen.

 

The Snowstorm

 

There is a severe snowstorm currently in Locktown. The roads and grounds are filled with snow and ice. It is cold and freezing.

 

However, Darkwave and Cheddar are stuck in the mountains outside of town. They were hiking in the mountains, taking photos, and enjoying the outdoors.

 

Cheddar, the cat, is Benny’s cousin. He is a chubby, orange cat with green eyes. He loves to eat. He wears a yellow bow tie. He sometimes wears a yellow superhero cape. He looks up to Benny. Cheddar is nice, kind, funny, and loyal.

 

Cheddar and Darkwave notice that it is very hard to see with the strong winds. Cheddar is wearing a yellow beanie hat, yellow mittens, and a yellow scarf with thin white stripes. He is wearing a light green backpack.

Darkwave is wearing dark purple earmuffs, purple mittens, and a black scarf. He is frustrated. He is wearing a purple backpack.

 

Darkwave: Looks like the snowstorm is getting worse! I told you, Cheddar, that this adventure was a bad idea!

 

Cheddar was worried.

 

Cheddar: I’m sorry! I just wanted to—

 

Darkwave: Save it! Now how are we supposed to get home?!

 

Cheddar: Don’t worry, we’ll be okay in no time!

 

Darkwave and Cheddar try to make it back to town by walking. They are freezing. They find it hard to find their way back home. So, they try to think of ways to get help.

 

Cheddar and Darkwave are cold and freezing. Cheddar quickly thought of a plan.

Cheddar: Oh! I got it! Maybe we could call Benny for help!

 

Darkwave: What?! Who?! Benny?! I’d rather freeze!

 

Cheddar: No! We have no other choice! Take out your phone and call him already!

 

Darkwave: Why don’t you call him?

 

Cheddar: Because I left my phone at home.

 

Cheddar was sad. His eyes watered.

 

Darkwave: Oh, okay, fine! I’ll call him!

 

When Darkwave tried to call Benny, the phone was out of service!

 

Darkwave: I can’t! It’s out of service! Now what are we going to do?!

Cheddar was scared.

 

Darkwave: Hmmm. Doesn’t Benny have that super hearing power? Maybe we can make loud enough sound for Benny to hear so that he can come get us!

 

Cheddar: But how?

 

Darkwave screamed very loudly, and when he did, his yelling triggered an avalanche. There was a fast flow of snow coming down from the mountains. Luckily, Benny heard his voice from afar.

 

Benny was at home. He is wearing a blue scarf. He is drinking

hot chocolate from a blue-colored mug. He spat out the hot chocolate when he heard something loud. When he hears the loud sound with the help of his super hearing powers, it catches his attention.

 

Benny: Someone’s in trouble!

 

He put his superhero cape on.

Benny flew fast out of town near to the mountains.

 

He was up in the air, floating, looking for the people who called him for help. He used his super sight to look for them. His eyes turned yellow.

 

Benny: Come on! Come on! Where are they?!

 

Benny gasped as soon as he noticed it was Cheddar and Darkwave who were the ones that were lost and needed help.

 

Cheddar and Darkwave were waving from below to catch Benny’s attention. Benny goes near them.

 

Benny: Hi!

 

Cheddar: Oh, how glad we are to see you!

 

Cheddar hugged Benny.

Benny: Aww. You guys okay? What happened?

 

Darkwave: Yeah, we’re fine. Cheddar decided it was okay to go on an adventure trip to the mountains in this cold weather and decided to tag me along with him!

 

Cheddar: But—

 

Benny: Hmmm. Let’s get you two home!

 

Benny helped them to get home. The trio all decide to stay in Benny’s apartment until the snowstorm ends. Darkwave, Cheddar, and Benny all make it to Benny’s home. Benny offers Darkwave and Cheddar warm blankets and some hot chocolate.

 

They all sit on the couch.

 

Darkwave: Well, today was a cold day.

 

Darkwave glared at Cheddar. Cheddar frowned.

Benny: Cheer up, buddy! At least you’re safe! Now let’s see what’s on TV!

 

Benny used the remote and turned on the TV. The weather channel is on.

 

The Weather Reporter (voice): Today, the severe snowstorm will last all day. However, roads will be affected for several days.

 

Darkwave: Awww! We’re stuck here all day!

 

Benny: Well, I hear no thanks from you!

 

Darkwave: Eh, sorry, Benny. Thanks.

 

Benny looked at Darkwave. Cheddar’s stomach growled. He is hungry.

 

Cheddar: I’m so hungry!

Cheddar hopped off the couch and went into Benny’s kitchen to look for some snacks. He found Benny’s cookie jar! It is filled with soft chocolate chip cookies!

 

Cheddar took one bite and was pleased.

 

Cheddar: These are the best cookies I’ve ever eaten!

 

Cheddar ate them all! Darkwave also wanted to get some snacks. He sees that Cheddar ate all of the cookies in the cookie jar. Cheddar burped.

 

Darkwave: Cheddar! Did you eat all of the cookies?!

 

Cheddar: Yeah? So?

 

Darkwave: I wanted some too! Save some for the rest of us, cheesehead!

 

After that, Cheddar, Benny, and Darkwave all sit on the couch watching a movie about superhero lions. However, the movie is interrupted!

Benny, Cheddar, and Darkwave: Huh?!

 

There is static noise coming from the TV! Flash wants to communicate with Benny. The TV screen shows Flash’s digital computer face. The screen is light cyan with black dot eyes, eyebrows, and a mouth.

 

Benny smiled as soon as he saw Flash on the TV screen.

 

Benny: Flash! What’s up?!

 

Flash: Hey, Benny! Listen, it’s snowing outside, and I’m a little cold! But it’s okay! How are you holding up?

 

Benny: I’m fine! So are Cheddar and Darkwave.

 

Darkwave: Hey, Flash!

 

Cheddar: Flash! The best car in the world!

Cheddar hugged Benny’s TV. Flash chuckled.

 

Flash: What's up, guys? Well, catch you later!

 

Flash logged off. Everyone was happy they spoke to Flash.

 

Benny: Well, the storm will be over soon. At least the heater is not busted. What do you guys want to do?

 

They all decide to color and draw. Cheddar, Darkwave, and Benny all sit at the table in the kitchen. Benny’s kitchen table is blue with four orange-colored chairs. Cheddar and Darkwave are drawing a picture, while Benny is working on some math puzzles.

 

Darkwave: Whoa, dude, do you always work on math puzzles?

 

Benny: Yeah! You know, I wasn’t always a math whiz.

 

Darkwave: Seriously?!

Benny nodded.

 

Benny: Anyways, how was your trip to the mountains with Cheddar today?

 

Darkwave: It was boring! A total waste of time!

 

Benny frowned. Cheddar was upset! Cheddar was drawing a picture of him and Darkwave smiling. The background of the picture was of snowy mountains and a bright yellow sun. It says best friends on it. Cheddar left the table crying and took his drawing with him.

 

Benny: Cheddar! Wait! Darkwave?! What is your problem?!

 

Darkwave was surprised. Benny went to talk to Cheddar. Cheddar was sad in the living room. Cheddar was sitting on the couch.

 

Benny: Hey, Cheddar.

 

Cheddar wiped the tears from his face.

Cheddar: Huh? Hi.

 

 

Benny: What’s wrong?

 

Cheddar: I wanted to go on an adventure trip with one of my best buddies, Darkwave! But it turns out he did not like today’s trip.

 

Benny: Aww, I’m sorry, buddy!

 

Darkwave was eavesdropping on them.

 

Cheddar: Well, it’s okay. I made a drawing of us together!

 

Cheddar shows Benny the drawing he made of himself and Darkwave’s adventure trip.

 

Benny: Aww! That’s cute!

 

Cheddar: But I bet he won’t appreciate it.

Benny: Don’t be so sad, Cheddar! You know how Darkwave is. The important thing is that you care!

 

 

Cheddar: Aww, thanks, Benny!

 

Benny and Cheddar hugged each other. Benny noticed that Darkwave was listening to their conversation.

 

Benny: Darkwave?!

 

Darkwave feels awful and wants to make it up to Cheddar.

 

Darkwave: Look, I’m so sorry, Cheddar! I didn’t know our friendship meant that much to you!

 

Cheddar sniffled.

 

Cheddar: Really?

 

Darkwave nodded.

Cheddar showed him his drawing of him and Darkwave’s friendship. Darkwave gasped.

 

Darkwave: This is the best drawing I have ever seen!

 

Darkwave hugged Cheddar. Cheddar smiled. Benny smiled too.

 

Benny looked out the window. Looks like the storm ended.

 

Benny: The snowstorm is over!

 

Darkwave: (chuckles). I guess! Thanks for saving us, Benny!

 

Benny: Anytime.

 

Benny, Cheddar, and Darkwave all hugged each other!

 

Darkwave: Hey, since the storm is over, let’s all have a snowball fight!

Benny and Cheddar: Yeah!

 

The cats put on their mittens and go outside. Darkwave and Cheddar also built a snowman! They are all happy!
