Benny’s Introduction Benny the cat is a hero. He rescues those who are in danger and those who simply need assistance. He is a smart, short-tempered, alert, and brave cat. He is a gray tabby cat with green eyes. He is medium-sized.

Benny resides in the city of Locktown. Benny resides in a small apartment by himself.

Benny is a superhero during the day and a part-time math tutor during the evening hours.

He wears a teal bow tie when he isn’t wearing his superhero bow tie. Benny used to wear a superhero cape, but now his outfit is upgraded to a navy-colored bow tie.

When he wears his superhero bow tie, he gains superhero powers!

Short #1

Benny: I trust my powers better than I trust people.

Short #2

Benny makes healthy sandwiches for the citizens of the community. They are delicious.

Short #3

Darkwave is a dark brown tabby male cat with black eyes.

He wears a dark purple cape, a dark purple eye mask, and purple gloves most of the time. Sometimes he wears a dark purple-colored bow tie when he isn’t wearing his villain costume. He is one of the villains of the story, but he gets along with Benny and his friends sometimes.

The lions and tigers

Are afraid of me

I am nobody’s friend

Nothing will stop me

From achieving my goals

Darkwave: To everyone who I wanted to be friends with but was rejected: I’m sorry that I wanted to be your friend in the first place.

Short #5

Valentino is a dark gray, long-haired tabby male cat with gray eyes. He wears a blue plaid tie. He is cool and nice.

Valentino is one of Benny’s best friends.

Valentino, Darkwave, and Benny are together at Benny’s apartment. Benny asks Valentino and Darkwave questions, and they have to answer them. There is no right or wrong answer. This game is for fun.

Benny reads the first question to them.

Benny: Okay! Favorite food?

Valentino: Pizza.

Darkwave: Bread.

Benny: How many friends do you have?

Valentino: Too many to count.

Darkwave: Nothing to count.

Benny: Oh…okay. Last one! Favorite thing to do?

Valentino: To listen to music.

Darkwave: To win.

Short #6

After saving fish from being eaten by a shark, fixing his neighbor’s sink, cooking healthy foods at a local food

bank, and cleaning a citizen’s car, Benny the Hero is very tired.

He comes home and goes to his bedroom. He takes off his super-powered bow tie and puts on his blue-colored pajamas. Benny plays ambient music to help him relax.

He is now resting, trying to get to sleep.

Benny, the cat, is purring and slowly falling asleep after a long day of being a hero.

Short #7

Benny is helping the ants. He helped build many homes from dirt for the ants. There are now many new anthills made for them. The ants are very happy with their new homes.

Short #8

Darkwave and Valentino are at a local bake shop. Benny told his friend, Valentino, to help Darkwave find some friends.

They get their favorite kind of cake and sit down at a table.

Valentino: Okay, Darkwave! Ready to meet some new people?

Darkwave: Uh, not really. I don’t think it’ll work.

Valentino: Oh, come on! Just try.

Darkwave sighed and got up from the table.

Darkwave: Fine.

He goes over to the other table and says hi to the cats.

There are three individuals at the table.

Darkwave: Hi. I’m Darkwave. May we all get to know each other and become new friends?

Mateo and the other cats looked at each other. Mateo is a dark brown tabby cat with brown eyes. He wears a dark blue bow tie.

Mateo: (Laughs). No.

Darkwave: Okay? Can we all hang out?

Mateo: Sure…no thanks.

Darkwave turned around and went back to his table.

Valentino: So? So? What happened?

Darkwave: They didn’t want to hang out with me. So? I can’t let that ruin my day!

Darkwave continued to eat his cake.

Short #9

Benny finally deletes his old and useless social media accounts permanently.

Short #10

Benny receives an email from Daphne saying that she moved to another city for a new job. Daphne is a small, orange tabby cat with orange eyes. She wears a pink necklace. Benny and Daphne are best friends.

Daphne was a makeup store owner but got a new job as a graphic designer. Recently, his best friend, Emerald, also moved to another city for a new job.

Emerald is Benny’s friend and was his neighbor. Emerald is a light brown and white male hamster with light brown eyes. Previously, he was a construction worker but got a new job as a science professor.

Benny is sad about this, but he knows it’s for the best.

Benny: Being angry is a waste of time, and so is being joyful.

Short #12

Benny: I will not waste my time and energy on anything pointless.

Short #13

Benny: I don’t want to be around gossip or toxic people.

Short #14

Benny unlocks another superpower. It’s super-hearing.

Benny can hear loud sounds miles away. This power can be useful when helping the community.

Short #15

Outside of Lockdown, there are woods. There are wild coyotes that live in the woods. Some citizens of Locktown visit the woods sometimes. There is a young deer named Fawn. She is a small deer. She has light brown fur with white spots and light brown eyes. Fawn is nice and timid.

Fawn got lost in the woods, and two hungry coyotes saw her. She was trying to find her way home. The first coyote’s name is Nate. He is mean. Nate has brown fur and green eyes. The second coyote’s name is Jay. He is mean and selfish. He has blonde fur and blue eyes.

Nate: I see a deer! Get them!

Nate and Jay chased after her. Fawn noticed and got scared. She ran for her life. Fawn yelled for help.

The chase continued. Benny’s super-hearing power kicked in, and he heard the cries for help.

Benny was inside his home when he heard that someone was in need of help.

Fawn: Help! Help!

Benny: Oh, no!

Benny flew to the woods with his flight and super-speed powers to help Fawn.

Jay: Get her!

Jay and Nate ran faster to catch Fawn. Fawn continued to run and yell for help.

Benny was floating in the sky, looking for the individual who cried for help. Benny saw Fawn being chased by two aggressive coyotes.

Benny: Not on my watch!

Benny used his laser eye beam to strike one of the coyotes. Jay, the coyote, fell down to the ground and lost his strength.

Jay: Ouch!

Nate saw the scene. This made Nate angry. So he ran faster to catch his prey. Benny tried to stop Nate with his powers, but Nate was too ambitious to stop. Benny grunted.

Benny: Oh! Come on! Nothing will stop me from taking you down!

Benny finally thought of a plan. He blocked Nate’s path with a big log that he found in the woods. Benny used his

super strength to carry it. Nate noticed the roadblock and stopped running. As of this point, Fawn stopped running to see what was going on. She hid behind a tree, watching Benny speak. Fawn is now shaking because she is timid and afraid.

Benny: Stop! I told you to stop!

Nate: Who? Who are you?

Benny: I’m Benny. I am a cat who is a hero! Who are you? What’s happening?

Nate laughed.

Nate: I’m Nate. You took down my friend, Jay. I’m just trying to catch the deer. I’m hungry! Now, get out of my way, Benny.

Benny: No!

Nate laughed. Then he grunted. Nate kept growling at Benny and throwing rocks at him. Benny finally electrocuted him with his electric powers.

Benny: That’s it!

Nate: Ouch! Fine! You win!

Nate ran home, never to bother Fawn again.

Benny heard some crying sounds. He turned around and saw Fawn.

Benny: Hello? It’s safe now. Are you okay?

Fawn didn’t hesitate to go near and speak with Benny.

Fawn sniffled.

Fawn: I’m fine. Thank you for helping me. What’s your name?

Benny: I’m Benny! I’m a superhero! I’m glad you‘re safe.

Fawn: Thanks. I’m Fawn.

Benny: Well, Fawn, nice to meet you.

Fawn: How’d you know I was in trouble?

Benny: My super-hearing powers told me.

Benny laughed.

Fawn: I got lost after wandering in the woods by myself, and I can’t find my way back home. Can you help me, Benny?

Benny: Of course.

Benny and Fawn walked together to find the way back home. Fawn lives a few miles away from the woods. On the way, Benny helps Fawn find her home. Fawn’s home

is made of brown-colored logs. The house is small and has a few windows. They stopped as soon as they reached their destination.

Fawn: We’re here! I’m back home!

Benny knocked on the door. Fawn’s mother answered the door. She smiled. Fawn gave her mother a hug. Fawn turned around to Benny.

Fawn gave Benny a big hug before they parted ways.

Fawn: Thank you, Benny; I’ll never forget you.

Benny’s heart melted.

Short #16

The Racecar Competition

The city of Locktown is having a car racing competition.

There are three cars that are competing in the race. Each winner will get a prize.

The first contestant is Benny and his car, Flash! Benny is wearing a blue and white-colored suit and a blue helmet.

Benny has a talking car named Flash. Flash is an intelligent, self-navigating coupe car. He is blue and orange. The windshield represents his digital eyes. His voice comes from the engine. Most cars fuel on gasoline to run, but Flash fuels on strawberry cake. Flash is also Benny’s friend. He is nice, smart, and friendly.

The second contestant is a squirrel named Blast. He has brown fur and brown eyes. He is wearing a white and yellow-colored suit and a yellow helmet. He drives a yellow-colored sports car. He is serious, quiet, and smart.

The third contestant is Darkwave. He is wearing a purple and white-colored suit and a purple helmet. His car is a dark purple-colored sports car.

Benny’s cousin, Cheddar, is cheering for him. Cheddar, the cat, is Benny’s cousin. He is a chubby, orange-tabby cat with green eyes. He loves to eat. He wears a yellow bow tie. He looks up to his older cousin, Benny. Cheddar is nice, kind, funny, silly, and loyal.

He is eating chocolate while watching the race.

Each contestant is in their sports car, waiting for the announcer’s directions. River, the cat, is the announcer.

River is a dark gray tabby cat with green eyes. He wears a green bow tie. He is cool, smart, and funny.

River: Hello, everybody! Welcome to Locktown’s First Car Racing Competition! Today’s competitors are Benny, Blast, and Darkwave! The race will have three laps.

Whoever reaches the final lap first wins the big prize! The third place winner will earn a gift card; the second place

winner will earn a gift card and a coupon for free car wash for life; and the first place winner will win a gift card, a coupon for free car wash and repairs for life, and a new orange motorbike!

Everyone’s jaw dropped when they saw the staff presenting the new orange motorbike to the audience.

Cheddar: Woah! Benny! You can do it!

The ambitious contestants are ready! They all start their motors and rev their car engines.

Flash: Oh, Benny! I really want the coupon for free car wash and repairs!

Benny: The motorbike! I mean, come on, Flash, you got this. I believe in you!

River: On your marks, get set, ready?! Go!

Upbeat music played as the cars began to race. Who will win?

Darkwave was determined to win the race. So, he decided to release some nails to puncture and deflate the other cars tires so as to keep them from winning the race.

Darkwave: Eat this, Benny!

Benny noticed Darkwave’s evil plan.

Benny: Hey! Watch out, Flash!

Flash noticed and avoided the problem. Blast, the squirrel, also avoided Darkwave’s tactics.

Benny: That was a close one!

Darkwave grunted in frustration.

The first lap finishes.

River: Okay! The winner of the first lap is Blast!

The racers are on the second lap.

Darkwave: I’m winning this thing.

He decided to throw paintballs on Benny and Blast’s cars to cover the windshields. Benny grunted.

Benny: Two can play that game!

Flash, the self-driving car, cleaned the windshield without stopping the car. Benny ordered Flash to speed up and go ahead of Darkwave. Benny poured slippery oil on the tracks to slow Darkwave down.

Darkwave: Hey! (Growls).

River: The winner of the second lap is Benny!

The final lap of the race is here.

Blast, the squirrel, is ahead of Benny and Darkwave.

Darkwave’s vehicle started to slow down because it was out of gas. Benny notices it.

Benny: Flash, I think we should stop so that I can help Darkwave refuel his car.

Flash: What? If we do that, we’ll lose! We’re almost at the finish line!

Benny: A hero is a hero, no matter what!

Benny wasn’t selfish, he was selfless. He went out his way and lost the ability to win the competition like he hoped to! Benny helped Darkwave refuel his car.

Darkwave: I can’t believe it. You risked your chance to win so that you could help me?

Benny shook his head yes.

Darkwave: Wow, thanks. Now, let’s win this!

Benny and Darkwave went back to the race to reach the finish line.

River: The race is over! The winner is…Blast!

Congratulations, Blast!

Everyone cheered. Cheddar was a little upset that Benny didn’t come first place.

Cheddar: Oh!

All of the competitors came out of their cars. A gold award was given to Blast, along with the other prizes of being a first place winner.

River: The runner up is Benny! The third place winner is Darkwave! Congratulations!

Darkwave sighed.

Benny: We all did good!

Darkwave: You’re right, Benny. At least we had fun!

Blast: Good job, everyone!

Benny got a silver award and Darkwave got a bronze award. The winners got their prizes and got their picture taken.

Cheddar came and hugged Benny.

Cheddar: I’m proud of you, Benny!

Benny: Thanks.

Benny, Cheddar, Darkwave, and Blast all cheered and gave each other a big hug!
