This book is dedicated not only to the people who made it happen, but to those who didnʼt.

In July 2021, five business owners sat in a Zoom room and asked the question: How can

we make it better?

We had no idea what ‘itʼ looked like or where it was going but what we did know is that

everything could be better.

Born out of Covid with all of the lockdowns, Bconnected World started as an online information gateway. A place for business owners to seek information on subject matters in a no-sales environment.

By listening to our members and looking for constant improvement, Bconnected World has now become one of Australiaʼs premier business support networks and has created an online environment to constantly raise the profiles of its members – not only in the room but also outside of it.

Bconnected World would not be here today if it werenʼt for its team and its members. There are far too many people to shout-out individually but there are a few who do require a mention, namely Allison Ockenden and Alan Stevens, who were part of the original five and have been my personal mentors on this journey, and Geoff Hetherington, who has become our coach, mentor and friend, steering this ship in a forward direction for us and also Mark Grant, who not only is our biggest supporter but has become a true friend throughout this journey.

I would also like to give a shout-out to the naysayers –

those people who have tried everything they can to slow or stop the progression of Bconnected World. They know who they are and to them I say thank you. You have given me the determination and mindset to ‘Always Make It Better!ʼ

This book was written over a period of many years and is designed to be a point of

reference when it comes to business

networking.

It contains seventeen chapters, focusing on various networking subjects, and many

subsections. At the end of each subsection, the final ‘take homeʼ paragraph is written in bold for easy reference.

As you progress through the book, you will

find many of the subjects cross over, as

successful business networking needs to be

undertaken in a holistic approach. There are also many blank spaces and pages in the

book, intentionally left this way so you can add notes.
