09730.jpgAbout our VA Service

Our virtual assistant service is located in the town of Mati in the southeastern Philippines on the island of Mindanao. Mati is home to the Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology.

The nearest large city is Davao City, and is about 5 hours away by van. In the past, many graduates of the college would have to move to Davao City to find employment. But since Comtrex LLC located our VA service in Mati, the local graduates can now find employment in their home community, rather than having to leave their homes and families to live in Davao City or some other major city.

Travel to Mati

If you happen to be visiting the Philippines, you can reach Mati by air, land, or sea.

Davao City serves as the primary entry point. From the Davao International Airport one can hire a van at the Gaisano Mall & Victoria Plaza Terminal.

Transportation by sea is available by

Fastcraft from the Sta. Ana wharf.

But WHY did we locate our services in Mati?

It's our hope that by locating in Mati, we can help the residents there in two ways:

1. Provide employment in their home community

Living conditions in Mati are harsh for many who live there. For some, just having three meals a day is a luxury. That's why graduates of the local college are willing to leave Mati to find employment in the larger cities.

Having done so, most of them send a large portion of their earnings back to the families they had to leave behind.

By locating our virtual assistant services in Mati, the younger people do not have to leave behind their families just to find a job.

09744.jpg2. Raise the standard of living

By providing well paying jobs (by Philippine standards) in the city of Mati, there will be more spendable income in the hands of local citizens. And more spendable income means more demand for goods and services, which in turn means there will be new businesses springing up to fulfill that need.

So a "snowballing" effect takes place...

More spendable income...

= more demand for goods

= more businesses

= more hiring

= more spendable income = more demand for goods = .........

Well, you get the picture!

Additional Goals

In addition to helping the residents of Mati, we also hope to help the small business entrepreneurs here in the USA.

There are so many out there who find themselves stuck in a "Catch 22"

• They sooner or later come to the realization that they can NOT get their business off the ground, unless they hire help to handle the day to day tasks of running the business (leaving themselves the time needed to grow the business, implement new ideas, explore new avenues of potential clients and income)
• ... But they simply do not have the funds available to hire that help!

How SAD it is that most such businesses eventually fail!

But we hope to change all that.

By providing the affordable help needed, it becomes possible for the entrepreneur to actually GROW his/her business... to get the business out of "low gear" and expand operations.

And when that happens, it means more goods and services will be needed to continue operations and growth, which in turn means more purchasing of those goods and services... which helps other businesses thrive... which helps our American economy to grow, expand, and thrive as well... a "snowballing" effect.

Hey... seems we've been here before! :

So in conclusion, our goal is to foster an environment where everybody wins... everybody benefits...

• Our own company (Comtrex LLC)...

• Our fellow business men and women...

• Our hard-working and very dedicated VAs...

• And their fellow citizens of Mati
