In the Courtroom…

In the Courtroom…

As the jury, we have come to the conclusion;

The accused is guilty of murder,

As a result of his careless driving,

Therefore, he is sentenced to life imprisonment,

With hard labor.

Others clap, for justice that has prevailed,

These drivers must know what road rules are,

It’s our hope others will learn from this.

A mother sighs in disbelief and grief as,

As she walks out of the courtroom.

An infant and a grandmother,

Will now have to find a way,

To survive on their own.

Who can understand the way of the world?

Who can predict the path of fate?

Who can foretell when the sun will stop shining?

These are questions,

I know not the answers.
