HOW TO FORGIVE

In most cases, the imperative of forgiveness arises between us and our intimate companions, when the sweet juice of trust turns sour in our hearts.

This happens because, generally, the deepest hurts arise between Spirits who are linked to each other in coexistence.

When our relationships become ill, in the exchange with certain friends who, according to our personal opinion, are transformed into our opponents, let us ask ourselves sincerely: “How can we forgive, if forgiveness is not limited to a matter of lips but rather a problem that affects the most intimate mechanisms of feeling?”

Having done this, let us hasten to recognize that people in error belong to God and not to us; that we also have errors to correct and adjustments in progress; that it is not fair to retain them in our points of view, when they are, as happens to us, under the designs of Divine Wisdom that best suits each one, on the paths of refinement and progress.

Then, let us remember the blessings with which similar individuals have enriched us in the past and let us preserve them in our cult of gratitude, as life dictates to us.

Remember that God has already granted them new opportunities for action and elevation in other areas. It would be unreasonable for us to maintain complaints against them in the court of life when God Himself does not withhold His Love and Trust from them.

When you truly surrender yourself to God, handing over your adversaries to God as your true brothers - as much in need of Divine Support as we are, you will penetrate the true meaning of Christ's words: "Father, forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors", reconciling yourself with life and with your own soul.
